“More women in the U.S. die from complications related to pregnancy than in any other developed country. To address this alarming fact, the Preeclampsia Foundation has launched a grassroots campaign to secure support for bipartisan legislation titled the Preventing Maternal Deaths Act of 2017, H.R.1318, and the Maternal Health Accountability Act of 2017, S.1112. “The U.S. ranks 47th globally for its maternal mortality rate, and women die every day in the U.S. due to complications from childbirth.” [….] Continue reading “Questioning Why U.S. Pregnancy Death Rates Are So High”

President Donald Trump’s promises to rebuild the American nuclear arsenal are starting to bear fruit, and according to a US Air Force general update from May 1, the US has already conducted more than two dozen tests of its new B61-12 guided nuclear gravity bomb.

As Military.com reports, plans to spend over $1 trillion to modernize the US “nuclear triad” – nuclear bombers and missiles launched from land-based silos and submarines – have been fast-tracked thanks to the new Nuclear Posture Review, as well as increased military spending authorized during the Trump administration.   Continue reading “Pentagon Accelerates Testing Of New B61 Nuclear Gravity Bomb”

By the end of this column, it will be clear which country the United States will invade and topple next. Or failing that, it will be clear which country our military-intelligence-industrial complex will be aching to invade next.

We all want to know why America does what it does. And I don’t mean why Americans do what we do. I think that question still will be pondered eons from now by a future professor showing his students a video mind-meld of present-day UFC fighters booting each other in the head while thrilled onlookers cheer (not for either of the fighters but rather for more booting in the head).   Continue reading “I know which country the US will invade next”

Amazon has halted development of a high-rise office block in downtown Seattle, threatening to ditch the plans altogether unless the city withdraws a proposed new tax to fund homelessness programs.

The retailer’s decision to delay construction on its 17-story ‘Block 18’ tower also threatens the 7,000 new jobs the company planned to create. Drew Herdener, vice president of the e-commerce behemoth, also said the firm may not occupy space in another skyscraper currently in development in the city, choosing instead to sublet it to another firm.   Continue reading “Amazon v Seattle: 7,000 jobs under threat as retail giant protests homeless tax”

Two decades ago, amid a growing controversy over police shootings in the nation’s capital, officers in the District were largely barred from firing at moving cars.

The rules didn’t apply if someone in the car was firing at police, but officials concluded that in most cases, the practice was dangerous and ineffective. Bystanders could be hit, and shooting at a car usually didn’t stop it anyway. Other departments nationwide adopted similar policies.   Continue reading “Police in D.C., New York revise shooting policies in response to vehicle ramming attacks”

Not content with surveillance cameras on buses, the police state has now begun adding them to bus stops.

Last month an article in WTVR 6 revealed that the Greater Richmond Transit Center (GRTC) is installing more than one hundred surveillance cameras at bus stops.

What should really concern everyone is the amount of cameras being installed at each bus stop.   Continue reading “DHS expands police spying by adding surveillance cameras to bus stops”

Stamford, CT — Free speech and liberty activist, Michael Picard had harmed no one, had not committed a crime, and was merely expressing his right to free speech by claiming the Stamford PD dislikes free speech. Indeed, within just a few minutes, the chief of police himself came out to prove Picard right.

Last Thursday, Picard held a sign that said, “F*ck Free Speech —Stamford PD,” merely attempting to point out the gross violations of the First Amendment committed by the department after they arrested another activist, Michael Friend, for holding up a different sign warning drivers of a distracted driving checkpoint ahead.   Continue reading “Activist Holds Up Sign Saying Police Hate Free Speech, So they Arrest Him to Prove Him Right”

There exists a divide between practicing chiropractors and physicians regarding their views on vaccinations. Chiropractors often oppose the practice of vaccinations, understanding the body’s intrinsic ability to heal from illness, and how vaccinations interfere with this process.

By contrast, medical doctors are trained in medical schools and hospitals, largely funded by pharmaceutical companies’ dollars. Allopathic physicians are highly indoctrinated on the importance of vaccinations to prevent disease and illness, while receiving little to no knowledge on vaccine dangers and their negative impact on health.   Continue reading “The Big Divide: Why Chiropractors Oppose Vaccinations While Medical Doctors Embrace Them”
