At this week’s Black Hat conference, security researcher Christopher Domas demonstrated a so-called “God Mode” affecting certain x86 CPUs — namely, VIA’s C3 Nehemiah chips, an off-brand “military-grade” processor made in 2003. To achieve root access and the innermost ring, all the user needs to do is enter the command “.byte 0x0f, 0x3f” in Linux. Domas believes the same backdoors exist on other chipsets. The Trump administration is starting the process of opening up large swaths of land in California to hydraulic fracturing.
In a notice issued Wednesday to the Federal Register, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) said it intends to analyze the impact of hydraulic fracturing, known as fracking, on publicly owned land throughout the state. Continue reading “Trump officials open door to fracking in California”
Hartford police officials suspended Sgt. Stephen Barone Friday after a video surfaced that shows him telling suspected trespassers that he is “trigger happy.”

So don’t do anything stupid,” Barone is heard telling the group on Heath Street Thursday night in a three-minute clip posted on Facebook Friday. Baltimore, MD — A Baltimore cop has been suspended after he was seen on video savagely beating an unarmed and apparently innocent man until blood poured from his face. From the beginning of the beating until the end, the man never posed a threat to the cop.
The video was so horrific that the Interim Police Commission, Gary Tuggle, released a statement saying he was “deeply disturbed by the video,” and noted that he suspended the officer involved. The Oxford Dictionaries defines “norm” as something that is usual, typical, or standard. To “normalize” some deviant thing or behavior, therefore, is to make that object or behavior a “norm” — that is, making it acceptable by having the public perceive it as usual, typical, standard, and humdrum ordinary.
America has already surrendered to sodomy and “transgenderism” (a biological impossibility). What is underway now is the normalization of evil — of deviant predilection and behaviors like pedophilia, bestiality, cannibalism, and satanism. See: Continue reading “Normalizing Satanism in America: Demon statue in Arkansas state capitol; satanic highway cleanup in Indiana”

The National Park Service is asking for the public’s opinion on proposed revisions to Title 36 of the Code of Federal Regulations, section 7.96 for the National Mall, President’s Park and other national parks in the Washington, D.C. area, proposing a First Amendment permit for those locations.

It’s been more than 230 years since America’s last constitutional convention, but there is growing confidence in some conservative circles that the next one is right around the corner – and could spell disaster for entitlement programs like medicare and social security, as well court decisions like Roe v Wade.
“I think we’re three or four years away,” said the former Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn on Friday, speaking at the annual convention for American Legislative Exchange Council (Alec) – a powerful rightwing organization that links corporate lobbyists with state lawmakers from across the country. According to a recent survey, American families are more worried than ever about being able to pay their medical bills. And rightly so. Unfortunately, a bill now working its way through the U.S. House of Representatives would make health care even less affordable and less secure for millions for Americans. AARP opposes the bill — called the American Health Care Act — because it would hike premiums for older Americans, weaken Medicare and put at risk the 17.4 million low-income seniors and people with disabilities who rely on Medicaid. At the same time, it is a bonanza for insurance and drug companies. Continue reading “Health Bill a Bitter Pill for Older Americans”
Washington is bracing for a white nationalist rally that law enforcement agencies will try to prevent from descending into a melee like the one in Charlottesville, Virginia, that cast a shadow over Donald Trump’s presidency a year ago.
Marking the anniversary on Saturday, Trump condemned “all types of racism and acts of violence,” a shift from his widely-criticized equivocation of 2017. Continue reading “Washington, D.C., Braces for White Nationalist Rally”
