A lawmaker from the ruling Likud party said Wednesday that the “Jewish race” is the smartest in the world and possessing of the “highest human capital,” which is why, he said, the Israeli public did not buy into the allegations of wrongdoing by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Bitcoins incredible rise in value in the last 12 months has been down to massive market manipulation, a new study has revealed.
During the 2017 peak, which topped out at almost $20,000 (£15,000) per coin, traders were using a separate cryptocurrency called Tether to manipulate its value.

What’s a politician to do when it’s clear that people will vigorously resist attempts to restrict their lives? Well, you could empower government officials to arbitrarily punish anybody who might help them exercise their freedom. That’s the approach favored by three Democratic members of Congress, who appear to see the path to limiting private firearms ownership in harassing gun dealers and subjecting them to the whims of government officials.

DENVER (AP) – The U.S. Army resumed destroying obsolete chemical weapons at a Colorado depot after a nine-month shutdown for repairs, officials said Wednesday.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — City county council members will consider a resolution that urges lawmakers to ban high capacity weapons in Indiana.
The Community Affairs Committee will hear about the proposal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Cook County Sheriff’s Office police officers will enforce the county’s assault weapons ban in the Village of Northbrook, according to Village President Sandra Frum.
After listening to comments from seven people regarding the ban, also known as the Blair Holt Assault Weapons Ban, Frum read a statement announcing that village staff has determined that Cook County officials will be responsible for enforcing the ban in Northbrook. A High Court judge has criticised a social worker who took a child away from his mother because she refused to give him an ice cream.
The social worker said the woman was failing to meet her son’s “emotional needs”, and also highlighted how she did not allow him to get his hair to be cut “in the way that he liked”. U.S. President Donald Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in reaching an agreement to work toward de-nuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
The U.S leader was nominated by two members of Norway’s governing Progress Party, according to state broadcaster NRK. The deadline for this year’s prize passed in January, so this nomination would make him eligible for next year. It is unclear whether he was nominated for this year’s prize. The Philippines’ Interior Ministry has announced plans to provide some 42,000 community leaders with free handguns to ramp up the statewide battle against drugs and crime, which continues to draw the ire of human rights defenders.
The decision to give state-issued handguns to the community leaders – known locally as barangay captains – was announced by the ministry on Wednesday. The Philippines’ barangay localities vary in size and may be described roughly as districts or neighborhoods. President Trump’s administration is considering building tent cities to house and detain unaccompanied minor children after they’ve crossed the United States-Mexico border.
According to Health and Human Services (HHS) officials who spoke to McClatchy DC, HHS is reviewing a plan to expand detention space by building temporary tent cities to shelter unaccompanied minors. The federal department is expected to visit the Fort Bliss army base close to El Paso, Texas as an option for where the tent city could be constructed, the report states. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WSVN) — Police say a man who tried to carjack two people was thwarted after the victims both pulled out guns to protect themselves.
According to Fox 30, Jacksonville police officers arrested 36-year-old Christopher Raymond Hill, charging him with strong-arm robbery, carjacking with firearm or deadly weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and trespassing.
