If you’ve shopped at Walmart recently, you may want to check your freezer. The retail giant has recalled more than 6,400 pounds of frozen meat for possible salmonella contamination, including ready-to-eat pork and turkey sausage patties. The products were manufactured in Tennessee by George’s Prepared Foods, then shipped across the nation and sold under Walmart’s “Great Value” brand name. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, there have been no reports of consumer illness. However, the recall was issued after George’s Prepared Foods found items in its facility that tested positive for salmonella. What began as an administrative review by the Justice Department into the origins of Russiagate has “shifted” to a criminal inquiry, according to the New York Times, citing two people familiar with the matter.

The move will allow prosecutor John H Durham the power to subpoena documents and witnesses, to impanel a grand jury, and to file criminal charges. Durham’s progress has been closely monitored by Attorney General William Barr, who appointed the veteran investigator in May, tasking him with looking into FBI and CIA intelligence gathering operations surrounding the 2016 US election. (Bloomberg) — The U.S. has forfeited some $18 billion tied to oil and gas production in the Gulf of Mexico since 2000 because of a decades-old law that gave energy companies a break on paying royalties when drilling in deep waters, federal investigators concluded Thursday.

A Philippine city mayor who featured on Rodrigo Duterte’s ‘drug list’ was gunned down in an ambush by a gang of heavily armed men who assaulted the police convoy transporting the politician.

A man collapsed and died after police used a stun gun on him Wednesday during an altercation in Albany, Oregon, police said.

What escalated into a fatal encounter began routinely: A community service officer — a uniformed civilian who responds to non-emergency calls — contacted the man whose car was disabled on a street. Forget all about the impeachment process, because it’s just another ring in the circus of distractions, and the final result will have Trump continuing to ride on his white horse, and all of his detractors looking like idiots. It’s all part of grooming the public for his dictatorial power by portraying him as the only person in our government who isn’t completely corrupt or incompetent. The FBI, the DOJ, and the entire Democratic party have all been exposed as being corrupt, useless, perverse, or stupid, and the majority of Americans see their endless attacks against Trump as tiresome and petty.
