The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is releasing more than 200 border crossers and illegal aliens a day at the current catch and release rates, according to federal data.

After a soaring decline following the implementation of President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy where foreign nationals seeking asylum are mandated to wait in Mexico while their claims are processed, DHS officials seem to have stabilized the catch and release of illegal aliens at a rate of releasing about 208 a day. Amazon’s Ring business has been drawing headlines for its partnerships with police departments nationwide. These arrangements are mutually beneficial: law enforcement gets access to a sprawling, growing surveillance network it doesn’t have to maintain, and Ring gets a marketing boost to sell its products. Reporters and security researchers have been trying for months to figure out exactly how many of these partnerships Ring has, but the company has been mum on the matter—until today.  Continue reading “Ring has more than 400 police “partnerships,” company finally says”

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “Sylvester Stallone gets back to his roots with explosive new trailer for ‘Rambo: Last Blood’,” Agence France-Presse reports on the fifth installment in the series, scheduled for a September release. “Still in top shape at 73, Stallone’s muscles are put to good use to save the life of his friend’s daughter, who’s been kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel.”

It won’t just be his muscles put to use, but plenty of weapons, including guns. How he’ll keep and bear them in Mexico without violating almost as many gun laws as ATF’s Phoenix Field Division is left unstated in what looks to be a nonstop blood orgy with first-rate Hollywood production values.  Continue reading “‘Last Blood’ Should be Last Straw for Gun Owners and Stallone Movies”

Companies in the United States, and more specifically, Silicon Valley, are building a social credit system for individuals.  Much like the social credit system communist China uses to control its population, this authoritarian control is different in one way: it is being done by corporations as opposed to the government.  Continue reading “Silicon Valley Is Building A Chinese-Style Social Credit System”

Off the Grid News – by Adam C.

The average range environment tends to box shooters into a situation that focuses more on safety than it does on developing the skills you need to survive a gun battle. The safety angle isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Most shooting ranges are designed to accommodate both the expert shooter and the first-time shooter who has never handled a weapon in his or her life. In order to accomplish this mission, ranges operate under a series of safety rules that prevent things like prone, crouching, or kneeling shooting positions as well as any sort of movement or deviation from the firing line. Drawing from the holster is usually not permitted, unless the shooter happens to be law enforcement. The net result is that range shooters will typically have an incredibly narrow and focused shooting ability that is far less tactical than their military or law enforcement counterparts.  Continue reading “Why You Must Practice Off-Hand Shooting For Survival”
