Orlando, FL — In May of 2019, Officer Peter Meier with the Orlando Police Department made the ridiculous and outright dangerous decision to shoot a teenager with his taser while he rode his bicycle. The Orlando Police admitted Meier’s act was dangerous and violated department police, but the only ‘discipline’ he received was a written reprimand.

Orlando policy explicitly prohibits cops from tasering people on bicycles “except in cases of aggressive resistance.” No aggressive resistance existed on that afternoon on May 5, yet Meier tasered the teen and then lied that it did.  Continue reading “Insane Cop Tasers Teen On a Bicycle Over Popping a Wheelie”

HOUSTON/NEW YORK (Reuters) – U.S. crude exports from Corpus Christi, Texas, have surged to a record in recent weeks, often surpassing hubs such as Houston and Beaumont, Texas, thanks to faster-than-expected infrastructure additions.

The infrastructure boom at Corpus Christi helped push crude exports there to a weekly record of 1.59 million barrels per day (bpd) in late December, more than doubling levels that held for the first eight months of last year, and above Houston’s 2019 peak of 1.36 million bpd, according to vessel-tracking firm ClipperData.  Continue reading “Record oil volumes shipped from Texas port”

Raleigh, NC — A North Carolina judge released a series of disturbing videos last year showing the horrifying attack on a man who had done nothing but walk down the road. Kyron Dwain Hinton, 29, had harmed no one and committed no crime when he was surrounded by police, mauled by a K9, pistol whipped, kicked, punched, and stomped on—for nearly five minutes. Now, one of the key players in that attack has pleaded guilty and will likely get off with a wrist slap.  Continue reading “Cops Sic K9 on Innocent Man, Beat Him with Flashlights, Lie to Cover It Up, Get Off With Wrist Slap”

Scientists in the US claim to have created zombie robots from reanimated frog cells, giving rise to a living organism never seen or created before which can perform important tasks while healing itself.

These millimeter-wide “xenobots” were designed on a supercomputer using an evolutionary algorithm to create thousands of candidate designs. The winning designs can propel themselves toward a target and deliver a payload, and can also heal themselves when torn apart.  Continue reading “‘Neither robot nor animal’: Scientists develop the ‘Xenobots,’ 1st robots constructed completely from LIVING CELLS”
