Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison debuted a new song on Thursday titled “They Own the Media,” evoking an age-old antisemitic trope and outraging many fans and critics.
In the track, the 75-year-old rock and folk legend does not reveal who the pronoun refers to, but sings, “They control the narrative / they perpetuate the myth / Keep on telling you lies / telling you ignorance is bliss.” An official audio-only video for “They Own the Media” was posted on YouTube on Thursday, and had over 12,000 views by the following day. On the west side of Djibouti City sits a sprawling military compound. Within its razorwire-topped walls are helipads, a dock large enough to fit aircraft carriers, and 2,000 troops alongside armoured vehicles and gunboats.
Opened in 2017, this is China’s first overseas military base – but could soon be one of many located across Africa if those sounding the alarm in Washington are correct. Continue reading “China’s African take-over”

Delaware County, NJ — On April 3, 2020, Stephen Dolceamore, 29, a father of two, was in need of medical attention. He was reportedly in the midst of a mental health crisis when police officers responded to a call about him. Instead of “help” however, Dolceamore received a savage beating and would die as a result. Dolceamore would spend his last moments alive, face down in a dirt strip in a hotel parking lot, begging for help as cops squeezed the life from his body. CHILOQUIN, Ore. — Firefighters worked through the night to surround the Meadow Fire, which grew from prescribed burn operations scrapped on Wednesday morning.
According to the South Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership (SCOFMP), the Meadow Fire burns on 815 acres within the 4,000-acre area originally planned for the North 2 prescribed burn. The fire is roughly five miles northeast of Chiloquin, and officials say it is still moving away from the community. SAN ANTONIO — Imagine making $14,000 a week. That’s what one Texas-based company is offering because of a nationwide truck driving shortage.
When the pandemic hit many truckers left the industry because there wasn’t as much product to haul and the rates to transport products like gasoline tumbled. Now that demand is back up, but with fewer truckers to haul products like gasoline, a massive shortage is looming. Continue reading “There’s a truck driver shortage, so one Texas company is offering experienced drivers $14K a week”

Pfizer-BioNTech announced on May 7 that they have requested that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) start the process of fully approving their COVID-19 vaccine. The companies will continue to supply the agency with additional data on vaccination safety and effectiveness on a rolling basis over coming weeks. The FDA issued an emergency use authorization for the shot in December, based on short-term data on safety and efficacy.
Now, the companies have the required six-month data on the vaccine to support a biologics license application, which the FDA will review over the next several weeks before making a decision. Continue reading “Pfizer-BioNTech Has Requested Full Approval of Their COVID-19 Vaccine From the FDA”

Nearly four years ago, over 170 people were arrested after a chaotic scene outside a meeting of biker clubs at the Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, Texas, in which both police and some bikers fired guns and nine people were killed (at least four of them almost certainly by police) and 20 injured. Today, after years of highly questionable prosecutorial practices, the remaining 24 indictments have been dropped. No one will actually end up convicted for any crimes committed that day in May 2015.
Current McLennan County District Attorney Barry Johnson, who inherited the whole mess from former D.A. Abel Reyna, told the Waco Tribune that he spent 75 percent of his time since taking office in January trying to deal with the aftermath, and has concluded “after looking over the 24 cases we were left with, it is my opinion as your district attorney that we are not able to prosecute any of those cases and reach our burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt.” Continue reading “2019: Waco Biker Prosecutions Over After Nearly Four Years; All Remaining Charges Dropped”

A bill passed by the Oregon Legislature on Wednesday would place the state under one of the strictest gun storage laws around if signed into law.
The omnibus gun control bill, SB 554, opens the door for local governments and school districts to set up ‘gun-free zones’ banning guns from public premises. Violations count as Class C felonies punishable by fines up to $125,000 and five years in prison. It doubles the cost of concealed handgun license fees from $50 to $100 and raises renewal fees from $50 to $75. Oregon is an open-carry state. This Biden Proposal Could Make the US a “Digital Dictatorship”
A “new” proposal by the Biden administration to create a health-focused federal agency modeled after DARPA is not what it appears to be. Promoted as a way to “end cancer,” this resuscitated “health DARPA” conceals a dangerous agenda.
