CBS News released a propaganda segment on Monday featuring New York Times tech reporter Cecilia Kang where they suggested the US government could do an end run around the First Amendment through strict “regulations” in order to suppress “hate speech” and “misinformation” online.

Both the CBS News host and NYT reporter Cecilia Kang said the US should look to countries like Australia, New Zealand, Germany and India — which do not have free speech — as models for suppressing free speech on the internet.  Continue reading “CBS News, NYT Reporter Suggest U.S. Scrap Free Speech In Favor Of New Zealand-Style Censorship”

A high level Pentagon official has admitted that US forces will be in Syria for “the long haul” and coupled his statement by declaring the territory contains “a lot of the oil resources and arable land.”

The unusually frank remarks were made this week by Michael Mulroy, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East, while addressing a conference at the D.C. based Center for a New American Security (CNAS), months after President Trump appeared to have caved to his advisers, reversing course earlier this year from his stated goal of a full and rapid US troop exit from Syria.  Continue reading “US Troops In Syria For “Long Haul” Atop “A Lot Of Oil Resources”: Pentagon Official”

The year 2019 has seen a significant increase in the number of Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem who have had to demolish their own home, or part of it, after having built it without a permit. The residents elect this path in order to avoid paying the city thousands of dollars they would have been billed, had municipal authorities carried out the demolition. Fifteen residential homes were demolished by their owners in East Jerusalem from the beginning of the year until 31 March 2019, along with parts of two other homes, a store, and a car repair shop. The demolitions left 69 people, 40 of them minors, homeless.  Continue reading ““Self-destruction”: Palestinians in East Jerusalem forced to demolish own homes”

Federal prosecutors have been dropping child pornography cases for years in an effort to avoid scrutiny of the software used to bring the charges, a report by ProPublica has found. The Department of Justice’s actions raise questions about the accuracy and legality of their methods.

ProPublica has “found more than a dozen cases since 2011 that were dismissed either because of challenges to the software’s findings, or the refusal by the government or the maker to share the computer programs with defense attorneys, or both,” according to an April 3 report.  Continue reading “US Prosecutors Dropping Child Porn Cases to Protect Monitoring Software”

Ed.’s note: What very few people have noticed is that Jared Kushner brought fellow Harvard graduate and protégé Avi (Avraham) Berkowitz directly into the White House as Kushner’s “right-hand man.” How is it that a Harvard graduate can go from Harvard directly into the White House? This is petty astonishing when you stop and think about this: both Kushner and Berkowitz are Jewish, they knew each other at Harvard which is pretty much a Jewish-controlled institution (Harvard has the largest endowment of any university known at around $36 billion), both are “pro-Israel”, “pro-racism” and “pro-Islamophobia” while both are directing and guiding Trump’s foreign policy towards Israel and Palestine. Note too that Berkowitz acts in accordance with his religious beliefs (see Religion As a Weapon of War) concerning Israel. Continue reading “Trump’s “Deal Of The Century” is a Hoax: Experts”

The US has barred American pilots and low flying planes from going into Venezuela indefinitely following opposition leader Juan Guaido’s failed coup, citing “increasing political instability and tensions.”

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued an “international security” notice barring all US pilots and US-registered aircraft from flying lower than 26,000ft (about 5 miles) over Venezuela, claiming the ongoing struggle between the US-backed opposition and President Nicolas Maduro’s government creates an “inadvertent risk to flight operations.” While it’s unclear how the situation in the air has changed, the order applies indefinitely going forward, “until further advised.”   Continue reading “US bars American pilots and low-flying planes from Venezuelan airspace”
