The travel community seems to be looking for ways to be more eco-friendly. Destinations are outlawing straws, hotels are recycling soaps, and some cruise ships are working to power their boats with dead fish.

On November 29, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal issued a directive turning the Garden State into a sanctuary state. The New Jersey Attorney General, unlike those of most states, is appointed by the governor, in this case Governor Phil Murphy (D), so this appears to be the first case of a state being made into a sanctuary for illegal aliens by the unilateral executive action of a non-elected official.

After a year filled with public hearings, partnership announcements and meetings with landowners, Texas Central Partners is looking toward breaking ground on its Dallas-to-Houston high-speed rail in 2019.
The bullet train, which promises a 90-minute connection between the two major cities with a stop in Grimes County, is still awaiting final approval from the Federal Railroad Administration. TEL AVIV – The U.S. Navy said it may pull its longstanding operations in Haifa port once a Chinese firm takes over in 2021, prompting Israel’s national security cabinet to revisit the deal with Shanghai, according to an Israeli news report.
Israel’s Transportation Ministry struck an agreement in 2015 with Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) — a company in which the Chinese government has a majority stake — a deal that is now coming under interagency review, the Jerusalem Post reported. According to the terms of the deal, SIPG would control the port for 25 years. The Shanghai company has a $2 billion stake in the project, including plans to convert the bay terminal into the largest harbor in Israel. A PRO-ISRAEL ACTIVIST group is quietly pushing lawmakers on Capitol Hill and key officials in the White House to embrace a plan that would entail paying Palestinian residents in the West Bank to move abroad. One of California’s largest utilities company was accused Friday of falsifying safety documents for the state’s natural gas pipelines for years, even after it was blamed for a 2010 pipeline explosion that killed eight people.
An investigation by the California Public Utilities Commission found that Pacific Gas & Electric Co. had allegedly falsified data from 2012 to 2017 because it lacked enough employees to find and mark natural gas pipelines. SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Disney Channel actor Stoney Westmoreland, who plays in a series filmed in Utah, was arrested Friday in Salt Lake City and is accused of enticing a minor.

In November, according to transportation data provider FTR, orders for new Class-8 trucks — the heavy trucks that haul the products of the goods-based economy across the US — plunged nearly 50% from July and August, 35% from October, and 15% from November 2017, to 27,500 orders, the lowest all year.

Since I moved back to Oregon five years ago I have seen things go from bad to worse. I left Southern Oregon for ten years and when this third generation Oregonian returned, It is not even recognizable at this point… Aside from all of the outsiders that have changed the towns into cities, the left wing “conservationists” / radicals, have destroyed our forests and rivers. According to recent reports, congressional leaders from both sides of the aisle are planning to sneak a bill criminalizing politically motivated boycotts of Israel into the end-of-the-year omnibus spending bill.
The bill’s original sponsor, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.), is pushing Democratic leadership to include this bill, which has not moved forward thus far primarily because it violates the First Amendment. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are reportedly leaning toward slipping the text into the spending bill, which needs to pass for the government to stay open. The National Religious Broadcasters group has sent out a final ultimatum to Apple, Facebook, Google and Twitter warning that if they don’t stop censoring Christian and conservative viewpoints, the NRB will lead its organization of 60 million members into a campaign to remove their Section 230 legal protections.

I just finished reading “The Birth Of The Bill Of Rights, 1776-1791” Robert Allen Rutland. This book should be in the home library of every American National and a MUST for those who have chosen (in their wisdom) to home school.
STOCKTON (CBS13) — A special letter mail carriers are delivering to hundreds of homes in Stockton will hopefully bring a little financial relief in the New Year.
The money is part of the city’s basic income pilot program. Stockton is the first city in the country to launch it.
