The truck driver involved in a deadly crash along I-70 near Denver last week was charged Friday, May 3, with 40 separate criminal counts as a result of the crash.
The Jefferson County district attorney formally charged 23-year-old Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos, of Houston, Texas, with four counts of vehicular homicide, six counts of first-degree assault, 24 counts of attempted first-degree assault, two counts of vehicular assault, one count reckless driving and three counts crime of violence. New York (CNN Business)Facebook announced Thursday that it had designated some high-profile people, including Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who’s notorious for using anti-Semitic language, and right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, as “dangerous” and said it will be purging them from its platforms.
Jones and his media outlet InfoWars had previously been banned from Facebook (FB) in August 2018, but had maintained a presence on Instagram, which is owned by Facebook. A federal jury in Boston found John Kapoor, the drugmaker’s former chairman, and his co-defendants guilty of racketeering conspiracy for engaging in a scheme that also misled insurers into paying for the drug.
