The FBI uses the “no fly” list as leverage. What should be used to keep threats to national security off airplanes is being used to turn people into informants. If someone travels to a country the US government views with suspicion, citizens and legal residents are often approached by FBI agents who use the threat of revoking flying privileges to obtain new info sources.

DOJ policy expressly forbids this sort of behavior, but the FBI doesn’t care. Lilburn, GA — Families and friends gathered this month to commemorate the one year that had passed since their friend and loved one was gunned down by Georgia Tech campus police officer Tyler Beck. Now, after a year of waiting for justice, the family is saying that they have waited long enough.

The investigation has taken over a year, despite dramatic video that was uploaded to Facebook showing the Georgia Tech police officer shoot and kill a fourth-year engineering student from Lilburn, Georgia. TRIPOLI, LIBYA — A month of violent in-fighting in Libya’s capital has prompted the “official” government of Libya to call for UN intervention, just seven years after the 2011 NATO intervention laid waste to the country and plunged it into a state of chaos from which it has never recovered.

In late August, the Libyan capital of Tripoli became gripped by in-fighting between rival militant factions, factions that all technically operate under Libya’s UN-recognized Government of National Accord (GNA). Breaking news alerts filled the internet as #Aberdeen trended on Twitter and the internet buzzed with people trying to find out who would do such a thing. New Iberia, LA — Shocking surveillance footage, which was subpoenaed by federal investigators, shows a savage and violent attack on Louisiana man by a sheriff’s deputy and his K9 partner. The footage was so deeply disturbing that 6 years after it happened, the deputy responsible has finally been brought to justice.

Former sheriff’s deputy David Prejean pleaded guilty in February to the assault and is only just now being sentenced. Prejean was a K9 sergeant with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and had been called to the jail to assist with a shakedown, according to prosecutors. The United States House of Representatives is preparing to vote on a bill that looks like legislation that focuses on combating human trafficking on the surface—but some liberty-minded lawmakers are warning that the bill is using language from the PATRIOT Act to increase unconstitutional government spying.

A five-time deported illegal alien accused of sexually assaulting seven women, including raping many of them and beating them, has been sentenced to life in prison.
