The Food and Drug Administration approved the prescription cannabidiol medicine Monday to treat rare and severe forms of epilepsy.

FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb also issued an immediate statement saying this wasn’t an approval of marijuana, in general — and said anyone wanting to use cannabis-based products to treat disease must prove they are safe and that they work.   Continue reading “FDA approves cannabis-based drug CBD for epilepsy”

Noted consumer advocate and author Ralph Nader on Friday offered a sharp retort to Laura Bush and Michelle Obama in response to the former first ladies levied criticism at the Trump administration’s cruel immigration policy that separated immigrant children from their families.

“Would be nice if Laura Bush and Michelle Obama had expressed similar heartfelt concern for the tens of thousands of children killed or seriously maimed by the wars of their husbands in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere,” he tweeted.   Continue reading “Ralph Nader Asks Former First Ladies: Why No “Heartfelt Concern for Tens of Thousands of Children Killed or Seriously Maimed” by Their Husbands’ Wars?”

The state of New Jersey, which is known for its strict gun laws, has tightened regulations with new legislation that gives citizens 180 days to surrender all firearms and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds —and if they are caught with the newly illegal contraband, they will be treated as criminals.

The new rules are courtesy of Assembly Bill 2761, which was recently passed by the state. The bill’s purpose is to reduce “maximum capacity of ammunition magazines to 10 rounds,” and the text states that citizens will have 180 days to comply:  Continue reading “State Bans Guns That Hold More Than 10 Rounds, Citizens Told To Surrender Them or Become Criminals”

A public swimming pool in southern Israel has “separate hours” for Jewish and Palestinian citizens, “a practice that is undeclared but nevertheless familiar to visitors”, reported Haaretz.

The pool in question is located in Mabu’im, a community settlement operated by the Merhavim Regional Council. According to Haaretz, citing an employee, the pool has activities for the local Bedouin Palestinians during the week after 6pm, and on Friday night.   Continue reading “Israeli public swimming pool separates Jewish and Palestinian citizens”

Many people have been led to believe Hillary had two separate email accounts. One was a traditional, secure, State Department address, where she received most of her classified information; the other was her personal, sloppily run, wide open, unsecured email, where she received some classified information. But wait.

Paul Sperry (NY Post) has the explosive story. Or, rather, he had it on January 31, 2016. That’s when it was published. What happened to it?   Continue reading “Bombshell accusation: Hillary never had a State Department email address; all emails were sent to her at her private unsecured email”

No, the Trump tax breaks for major corporations are not going to bonuses and wage increases. Sure we’ve seen some token $1,000 bonuses go out to laborers with hyuge orchestrated fanfare. The stint of articles you saw all over the media earlier in the year about those bonuses originated from an organized PR campaign run by a conservative tax group, and have mostly now ended. Americans for Tax Reform, headed by Grover Norquist, encouraged companies at the start of the year to announce their distribution of tax savings to the lower rungs of personnel as a way of selling the Trump tax breaks after the fact. So far as I know, they are still encouraging that, but there isn’t much for them to report.   Continue reading “Trump Tax-Cut Bonuses are a Bust for Middle Class Workers, Wages Lie in a Wasteland of Failed Promises”

In a stunning new government report conducted in the 2017 Fiscal Year, migrant children crossing illegally into the United States, either alone or accompanied by an adult enjoy a higher standard of living than the average middle-class American child.

However here’s where it becomes even more astonishing, their standard of living is nearly three times greater than their native-born American counterparts.   Continue reading “Migrant Children Enjoy Higher Standard Of Living Than Most American Kids”

Every single action taken is a precursor to a future action. That’s something that not enough people understand. All of these things that sound like such good ideas when they happen to the “enemy,” whoever that might be? They seem a whole lot less like good ideas when they happen to you. Americans are getting exactly the country they asked for and they don’t like it at all.

The astounding levels of cognitive dissonance make it impossible for some people to see that they themselves were the ones who set the precedents for things happening today. If you give the government – any government, not just ours – an inch, they will take a mile, and I guarantee some of that mile will be to your own detriment.   Continue reading “Americans Are Getting the Country They Asked For and They Don’t Like It”

Su-57 retains a considerable advantage over the F-35 in the air, according to Military Watch. But there is a big question: is the comparison legitimate in the absence of real data?

Military Watch says the two fighters are significantly different. Lockheed Martin F-35 is a light aircraft with lower than average maneuverability. It was designed as a lighter and less costly complement to the elite F-22 Raptor air superiority fighter, a platform no longer in production.   Continue reading “Russian Su-57 v US F-35: Which is better?”
