AKRON, Ohio (CN) – An Ohio mother claims in a lawsuit filed Tuesday that officials in the Akron school district allowed a man impersonating a police officer to handcuff and threaten to stun her child under the guise of a fake “scared straight” program purportedly aimed at deterring kids from committing crimes.

The Supreme Court just made it a little bit harder to deport some so-called “bad hombres” — with an assist from Trump appointee Neil Gorsuch.

In the case Sessions v. A Georgia deputy was injured Tuesday night after being stabbed in a sheriff’s office restroom by a man who authorities say became hostile before eventually being fatally shot by another deputy.

The Internal Revenue Service announced late Tuesday that it would let taxpayers submit tax returns without penalty through Wednesday, after a long day of technical problems that fueled confusion about what is already one of Americans’ most frustrating interactions with their government.

A computer glitch at the IRS knocked offline the agency’s ability to process many tax returns filed electronically, a stunning breakdown that left agency officials flummoxed and millions of Americans bewildered. Slide Fire Solutions, the inventor and manufacturer of bump stocks, will no longer be selling the firearm accessories.

On its website Tuesday, Slide Fire Solutions said it “will cease taking orders for its products and shut down its website.”

Jim McGrath, a family spokesman, announced the death in a statement posted to Twitter.

House mice are abundant in New York City. From ground level low rent studios to upper-class penthouses, they infiltrate every corner of the city. And now, a new study has confirmed that these mice carry new viruses and potentially deadly superbugs.

According to CNN, a yearlong assessment of the city’s residential mouse population found that what many of these rodents do carry are previously unseen viruses as well as bacteria capable of causing life-threatening human illness.
