America knows Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students through mainly a handful of pro-gun control activist students, but according to a faculty member of the school where the deadly shooting took place, many other students say the most visible activists do not represent them.
“I’ve had some students approach me privately to talk to me about it, but I should note that those student activists none of them were ever in any danger during this whole thing…none of them except for the one girl Samantha Fuentes,” the faculty member said, on the condition of anonymity, during an interview with NRATV that aired Friday on Dana Loesch’s “Relentless” program. A group of students from Rockledge High School in Brevard County briefly walked out of class Friday to show their support for the Second Amendment.
About 75 students, according to a head count by school administrators, walked onto the school’s track carrying the American flag and signs that said “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” and “I support the right to bear arms.” The event lasted about 20 minutes and then students returned to class. I lived in Austin for twenty years (until 2000) and my family is still there. I just talked to my brother on the phone, and he was all over this story, trying to sell it to me. I finally told him I didn’t believe any of it, and he wasn’t happy to hear that. He couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t believe what the media was telling me. He told me the murderer’s parents went to his church. I said, “Yes, and can you verify that? Have you met them?
