Paris, Texas – On Monday, a notice was posted that the Commissioners Court will hold a meeting discussing the possible relocation of the Confederate Monument that is located on the South lawn of the County Courthouse.

Hitachi, is field testing a portable breathalyzer that uses facial recognition. Field testing, means cops will be given free portable breathalyzers to use on our streets and highways.
Portable breathalyzers have a checkered history and are notoriously inaccurate. Not long ago, the FTC called a million dollar portable breathalyzer ‘dangerous and deceptive’.
“Breathometer agreed to settle FTC charges that they lacked scientific evidence to back up their advertising claims. Overstating the accuracy of the devices was deceptive — and dangerous.”

Police have blocked off Georgia Republican Karen Handel’s neighborhood after reports that letters containing a white powdery substance and calling Handel a “dirty fascist” were left at homes of her neighbors.

On Tuesday, a corrections employee committed suicide and set off several CS canisters at the Nevada Southern Detention Center in Pahrump in an apparent response to a finding out his wife was committing adultery with another employee at the facility.
The private-owned detention center has been home to many of the defendants in the Bundy Ranch case, including Ammon and Ryan Bundy and Pete Santilli.

Oregon on Thursday became the first U.S. state to allow residents to identify as neither male nor female on state driver’s licenses, a decision that transgender advocates called a victory for civil rights.
Under a policy unanimously adopted by the Oregon Transportation Commission, residents can choose to have an “X,” for non-specified, displayed on their driver’s license or identification cards rather than an “M” for male or “F” for female. U.S. Representative Steve Scalise’s condition has improved but remained critical on Thursday, a day after a man who had expressed anger toward President Donald Trump opened fire on Republican lawmakers at a baseball practice.
Trump on Thursday reiterated his call for unity in the aftermath of the shooting in the Washington suburb of Alexandria, Virginia. But Nancy Pelosi, the top Democrat in the House of Representatives, criticized some Republicans who have blamed the shooting on vitriol from the political left.
