Hi everyone!  I received this “senior discount” list from a friend and thought that it might be of some $$$ value.  Keep this list – – – and send a copy to your senior friends and relatives.  She sent me an email saying:

“As I was waiting in line behind an older gentleman at Wendy’s recently, I heard him ask for his senior discount. The girl at the register apologized and charged him less. When I asked the man what the discount was, he told me that seniors (people) over age 55 gets 10% off everything on the menu, every day.  This incident prompted me to do some research, and I came across a list of restaurants, supermarkets, department stores, travel deals and other types of offers giving various discounts with different age requirements. A gunman opened fire inside a northern Ohio nightclub early Sunday, killing an off-duty police officer and two other men and wounding a fourth man.

WASHINGTON, Mar 7 2014 (IPS) – The U.S. government is in the final stages of weighing approval for an overhaul of regulations governing the country’s poultry industry that would see processing speeds increase substantially even while responsibility for oversight would be largely given over to plant employees.

The plan, which was originally floated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) two years ago, is currently slated to be finalised by regulators next month. An extensive hours-long manhunt for a suspect believed to have shot a San Francisco police officer came up empty Saturday night, police said.

Sacramento police officers on Saturday shot a knife-wielding man aboard a light rail train near 13th and R streets about 9:17 p.m.

Police said the man was taken to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento and was declared dead at the hospital.

A young graffiti artist shot by a Miami Beach police Taser stun gun died of heart failure from the “energy device discharge,” authorities said Thursday.

But the six-month-long medical examination concluded that the “sudden cardiac death” of Israel “Reefa” Hernandez-Llach, 18, was accidental.
