So, you’re dining out in a better class of restaurants tonight and, being health-conscious, you might be thinking that a better restaurant means better food and food that is better for you.
If you are one of millions of Americans who believe this to be true, you are mistaken, according to new data. In fact, in many cases, upscale food can be worse for you than eating a McBurger and McFries, as reported by Everyday Health: Continue reading “Upscale restaurant food is more fattening than McDonalds”
Multinational pharmaceutical corporations are pressuring the U.S. government to directly block cheaper, generic varieties of life-saving drugs in India.
The Indian government is “reviewing patented drugs of foreign firms to see if so-called compulsory licenses, which in effect break exclusivity rights, can be issued for some of them to bring down costs,” according to a Reuters article published Thursday, which cites two senior government officials. SAN ANTONIO (INTELLIHUB) — A recent trip to Starbucks by a disabled U.S. war veteran and his service dog turned into an embarrassing moment as Starbucks employee challenged his use of the dog.
Cops storm a house wearing masks covering their faces, dressed in military special forces-style black uniforms and battle helmets. They bust down the door using a battering ram, then rush the occupants, seizing and breaking one camera and preventing another from recording the remarkable scene.
For more than 20 years, I and a few psychiatrists have felt like an embattled minority, because we have continued to insist that gays aren’t born that way.
For most of this (20th) century, we have considered this behavior aberrant…a pathology. We had patients who would seek out one sex partner after another-total strangers-on a single night, then come limping into our offices the next day to tell us how they were hurting themselves. Since we were in the business of helping people learn how not to keep hurting themselves, many of us thought we were quietly doing God’s work. Continue reading “How America Went Gay”
While the ever distracted and perpetually preoccupied American public is just recovering from the onslaught of the Super Bowl and readying itself for two continuous weeks of the vicarious videotaped splendor of the Winter Olympics from Russia, ominous signs of the inevitable collapse of the American economic and social order continue to grow. Regrettably, very few of these signs are ever discussed on any of the business channels.
As far as the talking head pundits on Bloomberg, CNBC, and the Fox Business Channel are concerned, the ONLY index of American prosperity and well being is the stock market and nothing BUT the stock market. It’s as simple as that for this little group of Wall Street sycophant shills. “Stock market up – happy days are here again! Having a bad month in equities (think January 2014 – S & P down 3.7%)…well that has to be only a slight correction and just a GREAT buying opportunity to get back into the market and prepare yourself to make even more money than last year. After all, these markets hardly ever go down and if they do, it’s only a temporary occurrence, you see. If you’re not IN…you can’t WIN!!!” Continue reading “Danger Alert!!! 25 Signs that the US Middle Class is Facing Annihilation”

Edward Snowden used an inexpensive, readily available, Web crawler tool — also known as a spider — to methodically browse and index through a treasure trove of secret NSA files, The New York Times reported.
The implication is that he didn’t personally search, sequentially or randomly, for the files he purloined. He appeared to have been interested in select material and used specific search terms— which focused in large part on U.S. military capabilities — in vacuuming secrets from the agency’s database. Rather than twisting the political knife in the gaping wound that is Obamacare, House Republicans are off on a “comprehensive immigration reform” toot. The latest news has the Speaker putting off any action for now, and waiting until after the midterm elections in order not to anger the anti-amnesty base, and “to goose Latino turnout or to swing purple districts” in 2016, as political blogger Allahpundit put it. In other words, electoral timing rather than principle is determining what happens. Continue reading “Republicans Go On an Immigration Reform Bender”
Edward Snowden, the former contractor at the National Security Agency took with him multiple “Doomsday” packages of information when he departed the country and began revealing how intensely the US Government is spying on its own citizens. He has the personal home info for all Elected Officials, Law Enforcement, Judges, Bankers, Corporate Boards of Directors and more!
ATLANTA (AP) — Medical marijuana has been a non-starter in recent years in the Deep South, where many Republican lawmakers feared it could lead to widespread drug use and social ills. That now appears to be changing, with proposals to allow a form of medical marijuana gaining momentum in a handful of Southern states.
Twenty states and the District of Columbia have legalized medical marijuana, and this year powerful GOP lawmakers in Georgia and Alabama are putting their weight behind bills that would allow for the limited use of cannabis oil by those with specific medical conditions. Other Southern states are also weighing the issue with varying levels of support. Continue reading “Medical Marijuana Gains Momentum In The Deep South”
If you thought that there was mass corruption in the IRS, and that people who disagree with the government are being targeted by them, you’re absolutely wrong. The President says so. In fact, according to Obama, there is “not even a smidgen of corruption”.
During a pre-Superbowl interview with Bill O’Reilly of Fox News, Obama actually blames the mistrust of the IRS on the media. Seriously – it’s all because of Fox News not cooperating and reporting what they were told publicizing the scandal. “I mean, these kinds of things keep on surfacing in part because you and your TV station will promote them.” Continue reading “Relax, Conservatives! Obama Says There’s “not even a smidgen of corruption” in the IRS”
There is a primal link between man and fire. Every prepper should know how to start a fire with the resources around them, even if that means creating fire without a match or lighter. This is an essential survival skill as you never know when you’ll find yourself in a situation where you’ll need a fire, but you don’t have matches. Maybe your single engine plane goes down while you’re flying over the Alaskan wilderness, like the kid in Hatchet. Or perhaps you’re out camping and you lose your pack. It need not be something as dramatic at these situations-even extremely windy or wet conditions can render matches virtually uselessly. And whether or not you ever need to call upon these skills, it’s nice to know you can start a fire, whenever and wherever you are. Continue reading “9 Ways to Make Fire Without Matches!”
