Riots in Stockholm, SwedenSovereign Man – by Simon Black

Anytime a free market guy rails against central planning and socialism, there is always someone who stands up and says “what about Sweden?”

Ah, Sweden… a socialist’s paradise… a place where taxes are among the highest in the world, few people are wealthy, and the government is involved in people’s lives from cradle to grave.   Continue reading “Trouble in socialist paradise”

Government Hypocrisy Is the Core Problem

Congress has exempted itself from the prohibition against trading on inside information … the law that got Martha Stewart and many other people thrown in jail.

There are many other ways in which the hypocrisy of the politicians in D.C. is hurting our country.   Continue reading “The Stunning Hypocrisy of the U.S. Government”

Before It’s News

On the one side, the Debt-based Anglo-American European alliance with trade agreements across the board that encourage the mechanization of labor (NAFTA contributed to part of the U.S. Immigration Crisis when millions of out-of-work Mexicans descended on Texas and California) and on the other, for reasons not quite fully explained (Gold? The Petrodollar? Islam? “Terrorism”?)… the entire Middle East.   Continue reading “AC130 Specter Gunship in Iraq Using Night-Vision Technology Spot Men Planting Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), Shoot and Kill them with Chain-Gun from Maximum Distance”

Leap 20-20

The 2008 shock was certainly violent, but the reactions of the system, countries and central banks with their bailouts on an unprecedented scale, managed to hide the worst consequences: downgrading of the West in general and the United States in particular, a forced cleanup of the economy, a heavy fall from an artificial standard of living, mass unemployment, the beginning of social unrest… have been able to be partly neglected in favour of recovery hopes kept alive by irresponsible policies diverting liquidity to the banking systems and stock exchanges.   Continue reading “GEAB N°76 is available! Activist Post – by Susan Boskey

This July 4th Americans celebrate their 237th Independence Day. The Declaration of Independence, signed during the midst of the American Revolution in 1776, was not just a statement of grievances against the British monarchy but also a declaration of freedom from it, citing unalienable rights of self-governance. I said un-alienable, not in-alienable rights. Most believe there is no real difference between the two words. But not so fast. When unalienable was replaced with inalienable it diminished the original intention of personal rights; among which are “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”   Continue reading “How the Declaration of Independence got Hijacked”

Straight Forward in a Crooked World – by Matthew

There may come a point when you learn that no one is coming to help. Not from out of or in town. No local security spooks or your mother. Sometimes its because there is no money. It can be as simple as that, sadly enough. Other times (think Katrina) due to weather, communications can break down or can be completely absent.

And there you are.   Continue reading “Dark Arts for Good Guys: When No One is Coming”

After raising money from Internet donors, a 92-year-old man’s attempts to buy back from his daughter the house that he built have been rejected as he awaits his eviction hearing next week. John Potter of Zaleski, Ohio, received an eviction notice from his daughter, Janice Cotrill, and son-in-law earlier this year, saying that they had terminated his “existing lease.” Potter and his granddaughter, Jaclyn Fraley, raised $139,603 on the website GoFundMe.com in the hope of making an offer on the home that Potter had built about 56 years ago.   Continue reading “92-Year-Old’s Offer to Buy Back Home Denied, Eviction Looms”

The executive order is one of the most misunderstood government actions. When most people see an executive order has been passed, they tend to look and listen. They do not see it for what it should be used for and read it for what it cannot be used for. Executive orders are created by the President of the United States of America to “order” actions. SPOKANE, Wash. (RNS) Still angry about the idea of an Islamic cultural center opening near Ground Zero, a group of Idaho gun enthusiasts decided to fight back with a new line of pork-laced bullets.

Home on the range -- in New York CitySalon – by DANIEL KRIEGER

The only public shooting range in Manhattan is tucked away in the basement of a commercial building at 20 West 20th Street. After passing through the lobby and descending a winding staircase, I came to a long corridor whose green walls are adorned with framed newspaper clippings, photos and painted-on golden bullets pointing the way. The muffled blasts of gunfire grew louder as I got closer.   Continue reading “Home on the range — in New York City”

TPM Livewire – by Perry Stein

Words got heated on Meet The Press Sunday when host David Gregory asked Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald — one of the reporters to whom Edward Snowden leaked classified NSA documents — if he should be charged with a crime for “aiding and abetting” Snowden.

Greenwald strongly responded that it was “pretty extraordinary that anybody who would call themselves a journalist would publicly muse” about that, adding that he was acting as an investigative journalist and there was no evidence he aided Snowden.   Continue reading “David Gregory To Greenwald: Should You Be Charged For ‘Aiding’ Snowden?”

Strat Risks – Saudi Gazette

RUSSIA, the world’s largest crude producer, is shying away from Europe – as far as crude supplies are concerned – ramping up instead supplies to China. And as the process gains pace, new alliances are springing up on the global energy chessboard while the old ones are being discarded. The small, yet, strategic shift in target markets is providing Moscow not only with an opportunity to end its reliance on weak, saturated and somewhat fragmented European markets, but is also a major source of instant, handy cash at a time of great need. And the swap ensures Beijing long-term supply security.
A win-win situation on more than one count!   Continue reading “Russia-China oil deals may change global energy run”
