More than 100 people are named as plaintiffs in lawsuits filed against San Diego County over alleged child sex abuse crimes committed in a 24-hour emergency shelter for children. The alleged sexual abuse occurred at the Polinsky Children’s Center, which is a county-owned facility for minors who have been separated from their families for their own safety. CBS News opened the vice-presidential debate on Tuesday by claiming that Iran could be “one week” away from having nuclear weapons and asking both candidates if they’d support a “preemptive strike” by Israel to stop the “largest sponsor of terrorism in the world.” 
Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz told his counterparts on Monday that the Jewish state will not agree to a ceasefire in Lebanon unless Hezbollah agrees to disarm and abandon their own border with Israel.
