The old Copper Lounge building in downtown Sioux Falls collapsed on Friday morning, sending debris onto Phillips Avenue and trapping people inside.
Jim Sideras, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue chief, said two people were trapped in the rubble. One of the people trapped was speaking on the phone with her mother as crews worked to clear the debris.

A giant among giants and a beacon for countless tourists driving through the Columbia River Gorge is dead.
The accurately named Big Tree, a massive ponderosa pine near Trout Lake in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, was hundreds of years old.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israeli police arrested 13 people on Friday on suspicion of arson, authorities said, after massive wildfires tore through central and northern Israel, a conflagration that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu branded as “terrorism”.

Alex Jones, the far-right conspiracy theorist, radio talk show host, and provocateur founder of the popular Infowars website, says President-elect Donald Trump called him last week to thank him and his audience for their grassroots support of his unlikely candidacy.
“On my way here, Donald Trump gave me a call,” Jones said in a YouTube video shot atop Mount Bonnell in Austin, Texas, and published Friday. “And I told him, ‘Mr. President-elect, you’re too busy, we don’t need to talk.’ But we still spent over five minutes [on the phone], and he said, ‘Listen, Alex. I just talked to the kings and queens of the world, world leaders, you name it.’ But he said, ‘It doesn’t matter. I want to talk to you to thank you and your audience.
