In a perfect example of how public wireless networks can be dangerous for privacy and security, an Israeli hacker showed that he could have taken over the free Wi-Fi network of an entire city.

On his way home from work one day, Amihai Neiderman, the head of research at Israeli cybersecurity firm Equus Technologies, spotted a wireless hotspot that he hadn’t seen before. What made it unusual was that it was in an area with no buildings.   Continue reading “Hacker shows how easy it is to take over a city’s public Wi-Fi network”

As Ars has reported, federal investigators temporarily seized a Tor-hidden site known as Playpen in 2015 and operated it for 13 days before shutting it down. The agency then used a “network investigative technique” (NIT) as a way to ensnare site users.

However, according to newly unsealed documents recently obtained by the American Civil Liberties Union, the FBI not only temporarily took over one Tor-hidden child pornography website in order to investigate it, the organization was in fact authorized to run a total of 23 other such websites.   Continue reading “FBI operated 23 Tor-hidden child porn sites, deployed malware from them”

For those fighting and dying there – only Death is real. For the American people, Middle East Terrorism is a total fabrication.

A standard definition of War is that it is “a conflict carried on by force of arms”

We all know the old face of war in the classical days, where two sides in different coloured uniforms lined up and charged at each other until the sun set. Whoever had the most soldiers standing at the end of the day was the winner and they took over the territory of the losers. It was all about territory and redrawing borders.   Continue reading “America’s Wars in The Middle East Are Not ‘Wars on Terror,’ They Are Conventional Wars of Aggression”

Mandatory vaccinations are about to open up a new frontier for government control. Through the war on drugs, bureaucrats arbitrarily dictate what people can and can’t put into their bodies, but that violation pales in comparison to forcibly medicating millions against their will. Voluntary and informed consent are essential in securing individual rights, and without it, self-ownership will never be respected.   Continue reading “The Rise of Mandatory Vaccinations Means the End of Medical Freedom”

An Alabama Appeals court ruling, let’s police hold onto a motorist’s ID and ‘ask’ them to sit in a police vehicle.

“Defendant was not “seized” within the meaning of the Fourth Amendment at any time before giving his consent to search the vehicle. Despite the trooper’s retention of his driver’s license, the officer’s request to have him sit in the front seat of the patrol car, and his questioning of defendant about his travel plans in the patrol car, a reasonable person in defendant’s position would have felt free to refuse the officer’s requests or otherwise terminate the encounter with the officer.”   Continue reading “Latest police scare tactic: Take drivers ID’s and ‘ask’ them to sit in a police vehicle”

Juror 4 vigorously defends the across-the-board acquittals of Ammon Bundy and his six co-defendants, calling the rulings a “statement” about the prosecution’s failure to prove the fundamental elements of a conspiracy charge.

The full-time Marylhurst University business administration student was the juror who had sent a note to the judge on the fourth day of the initial jury’s deliberations in the case, questioning the impartiality of a fellow juror, No. 11, who the judge bounced from the jury a day later.   Continue reading “Juror 4: Oregon standoff prosecutors failed to prove ‘intent’ to impede federal workers”

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Students at Bloomington North High School are banned from wearing anything that depicts a Confederate flag on campus.

Leaders with the school district implemented the ban Wednesday night after students wore the flag draped around their shoulders like a cape. The students argued that they were exercising their First Amendment rights, but Principal Jeffry M. Henderson said the decision to wear the flag caused too much disruption given the flag’s place in U.S. history.   Continue reading “Principal institutes ban after students wear Confederate flag to school”
