I recently received an email from an older Patriot concerned about his role in the III% movement.  His email along with my response is posted below.

I am 59 years old. I am a Vietnam Era Air Force veteran who has never seen combat or fired a weapon at a human being. I am an Oath Keeper, in my own mind at least. In my younger days I was an above-average athlete. I was given my first firearm by my WWII combat veteran father at age 12.   Continue reading “A Letter from Aging Patriots”

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Senate on Wednesday rejected a bipartisan plan to expandbackground checks for gun buyers, dealing a sharp blow to President Barack Obama’s campaign to curb gun violence after the Newtown school massacre.

Despite emotional pleas from families of victims of the Newtown, Connecticut, shootings and broad public support nationwide, the plan to extend background checks to online and gun-show sales failed on a 54-46 vote, six votes short of the 60-vote hurdle needed to clear the Senate.   Continue reading “Senate rejects gun background checks in setback for Obama”

Bashar al-Assad has recently been demonized by the mainstream and so-called alternative media who claim that he is a brutal dictator. Actually Bashar is a reformer who has done much to further the causes of democracy and freedom. It is the opposition and their foreign supporters who represent the most repressive elements of the former ruling party in Syria. To fully understand this its is helpful to look at the historical context of the current crisis. The so-called “spontaneous popular uprising” started in Daraa on March 15th, 2011. The court house, police stations, governor’s house, and other public buildings were looted and torched by the “peaceful protestors” in the first week of the crisis. The people in Homs then began to protest in solidarity with Daraa, but this was uncharacteristic of peaceful Homs and many Syrians knew that it was a fake revolution.   Continue reading “Syria: Democracy vs. Foreign Invasion. ‘How to catch an illegal immigrant’: the politically-loaded slogan restaurant owners in South Carolina chose to print on staff t-shirts. The slogan is accompanied by a drawing of two tacos under a box, depicting a mouse trap.

Accused of racism, the owners of Taco Cid have hit back saying the t-shirts are a humorous and reasonable political statement not designed to single out a particular ethnic group. They say the t-shirts target all illegal immigrants, who they accuse of draining the US welfare system.   Continue reading “US restaurant under fire over ‘racist’ staff t-shirts”

UNITED NATIONS — Iran, North Korea and Syria blocked adoption Thursday of a U.N. treaty that would regulate the multibillion-dollar international arms trade which required agreement by all 193 U.N. member states.

In an unexpected twist, Mexico proposed that the conference go ahead and adopt the treaty Thursday without the support of the three countries, saying there was no definition of “consensus.” Delegates then started debating whether this should be done and several countries supported Mexico, but the Russian delegation called the proposal “a manipulation of consensus” and objected.   Continue reading “Iran, North Korea, Syria block arms trade treaty”

Just as DieselBOOM accidentally admitted Monday, it appears that the Cypriot bail-in is anything but a one-off event, and is in fact the new collapse template for the entire Western banking system, and not just the ECB/ Eurozone!

SD has been alerted to an alarming provision that has been buried deep inside the official 2013 Canadian Budget that will result in depositor haircut bail-ins jumping to this side of the pond during the next bank crisis!   Continue reading “Canada Includes Depositor Haircut Bail-In Provision for Systemically Important Banks in 2013 Budget”

While US President Barack Obama and the Western media lied in concert to the world regarding America’s role in supporting terrorists operating in Syria, it is now revealed that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has been shipping weapons to Syria via NATO-member Turkey and Jordan since at least early 2012.   Continue reading “Confirmed: US shipping weapons to Syria; Al Nusra’s ‘mystery’ sponsors revealed”

As nation after nation rushes towards backruptcy due to profligate spending that was easily avoidable with even the most basic restraint, the question posed in the title of this article is moving from being a purely academic question to one meriting serious study.

The government of Cyprus is one of those that justifies the question:   Continue reading “When is a citizenry justified in deposing its government?”
