Former Colorado state Republican party chairman Ryan Call talked to Laura Ingraham today to explain the delegation-selection process works and how it “cuts out any semblance of democracy or the popular will.” Call said the statewide convention that chooses the delegates reinforces all the worst stereotypes of the party.

“The very time we should be opening up our doors and being more open and transparent, and welcoming people into our Party, we’ve essentially made the decision to close it off and make it more cumbersome and more difficult. And, to prevent the ability of people to have their voice heard in this process. You’re reinforcing all of the very worst stereotypes about the Party and I, frankly, am very concerned about the way voters are going to feel,” Call told Ingraham.   Continue reading “Former CO GOP Chair: Message We’re Sending Is “Your Vote Doesn’t Matter And Your Voice Doesn’t Count””

In dealing with the corruption and criminals in our government who falsely accuse the citizens they serve and seek to imprison them, it seems their time is coming to an end. The New Hampshire House has become the first in the US to pass a bill which would require judges to inform jurors of jury nullification.

HB1270, the new bill that just passed the New Hampshire House requires the court to instruct the jurors that the jury determines the applicability of the law to the facts of the case.   Continue reading “Judges Will Have to Inform Jurors of Jury Nullification in New Hampshire if This Bill is Signed into Law”

Yesterday I got a Snapple cap with an interesting fact on it. It said that the Mayans had no concept of money, even though they were at the time the most prosperous and powerful nation in South America. Many of you will instantly call bullshit on that, as I did, because we have all seen the ornate Mayan artifacts made out of gold. You don’t make statues, trinkets and jewelry out of gold, as opposed to lead or copper, unless it holds an uncommon value for you. The gold for those statues was traded for other things of value, or for labor at one point, and that means it was money. So since Glen Beck and all these other “smart” people are hocking gold and silver these days, I thought I’d divert to a prepping discussion about money, and about gold.   Continue reading “Prepping 101: Time To Cash In Those Wooden Nickels”
