Squid have washed up on Santa Maria Island off Chile this week in what some have described as biblical proportions. Thousands of dead and dying squid are piled up on the shore. Former lead singer and guitarist for CCR John Fogerty recently said in an interview that the “jungle” he’s singing about in the band’s 1970 hit “Run Through the Jungle” is not Vietnam.
“The thing I wanted to talk about was gun control and the proliferation of guns,” Fogerty said. “I think my first experience as a kid was hearing about the fellow that climbed up in the Texas tower and was able to kill several people on the campus.”
