MINNEAPOLIS — A new poll asked over 1,000 Americans, in part, “How much trust and confidence do you have in the mass media … when it comes to reporting the news fully, accurately and fairly?” It turns out that less than half of respondents feel they can rely on today’s mainstream news.

Gallup released the results of their latest poll on the trustworthiness of the mainstream media last month, revealing that just four in ten of those surveyed — a random cross-section of adults from all 50 states and the District of Columbia — trust the media. Only 33 percent say they have a “fair amount” of trust in the media, and a mere 7 percent reported having a “great deal” of trust.   Continue reading “Poll: 60% Of Americans Don’t Trust The Mainstream Media”

The perpetrator made his way into the station and started shooting and stabbing people inside, in what is one of the most violent attacks since the escalation began, the police said. An Israeli soldier was killed, four police officers were lightly injured and seven civilians received wounds of varying degrees in the attack.   Continue reading “Israeli bus station attack: IDF soldier killed, police mistakenly shoot dead foreigner”

Campaign group The Story Of Stuff Project have just announced they will be pursuing legal action against Nestlé for illegally extracting groundwater in California for its Arrowhead brand, which has been a key contributor to the State’s drought crisis.

Thanks to generous donations from a huge number of furious citizens, The Story Of Stuff Project was able to raise enough money to film a mini-documentary called ‘This land is our land’. It tells the story of Nestlé’s removal of millions of gallons of water from the San Bernardino National Forest- and it details evidence of criminal activity by one of the world’s most unethical corporations.   Continue reading “Fantastic News: Nestlé To Be Sued For Californian Drought Crimes!”

During an October 16 town hall meeting at Keene State College, Democrat presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton said Australia’s confiscation of firearms via a national buyback provides “a good example” for how other countries responded to mass shootings and she said it is “worth looking at” when considering gun policy in the U.S.

Clinton made these statements in response to a questioner who asked if we could ban handgun ownership in the U.S.   Continue reading “Hillary Clinton: Australia Gun Ban ‘Worth Looking At’ In U.S.”

A (hopefully) gentle chiding for Patrick Wood over at Technocracy.com for suggesting that the Strong Cities Network (SCN) coming to a city near you soon is in no way connected to the United Nations:

“First, it should be noted that Strong Cities Network is NOT a government body at all, but rather a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with no connection to any government, or even the United Nations! (Technocracy.com Oct. 12, 2015)   Continue reading “Forget the NGOs, the UN is coming!”
