The current transition to electronic government (“e-gov”) means ditching all the paper + telephones + offices, and digitising everything, within the next few years. Driving licences, health records, prescriptions, taxes, benefits, voting, money … all of them will be digital. To access these services, each citizen must get a smart-chip to identify themselves to the government via an Identity Provider, such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, PayPal, LinkedIn or Microsoft.
The chip, called a secure element, can either be in a card, or a mobile phone, and you’ll have to hang onto it for dear life, because without it, your life would fall apart. Fourteen more correctional officers at the Baltimore City Detention Center have been indicted on corruption charges, shedding more light on the relationship between the infamous Black Guerrilla Family and the officers in the jail.
The indictments were unsealed on Thursday.

A law recently passed there means when you change your car from “factory” to “modified,” they can arrest you. On Thursday I wrote about Ernie Wayne Tertelgte, who insisted in court that the law had no right to try or arrest him for fishing without a license because he belongs under natural and universal law where he is entitled to feed himself and fend for himself.
