DeSoto, TX — The incremental use of police officer body cameras over the last decade has proven to be both a huge asset to police accountability as well as a source of constant controversy. Many times, police departments will simply refuse to release potentially incriminating video, while other times, officers turn them off before committing a crime. Little Rock, AR — A deeply disturbing video was released this week showing a cowboy cop jump on the hood of an man’s car and dump 15 rounds into him—instantly killing him. The family of the victim is now trying to expose the unnecessary nature of this shooting.

On the morning of February 23, Bradley Blackshire, 30, was driving a black Nissan Altima with his friend 20-year-old Desaray Clarke when they were approached by police. Boliver, MO — In December of last year, medical marijuana was officially legalized in Missouri—sort of. The legislation, titled Amendment 2, would establish 192 medical marijuana dispensaries by 2020. Those who need that medical marijuana now—like cancer patients, epileptics, glaucoma patients, those suffering from PTSD, and others—will still be prosecuted by police if they try to get it. Achille, OK — A video of the Achille police department raiding the home of an innocent family, threatening a husband and wife, and ripping a baby from a mother’s arms was apparently so disturbing that the entire department has been suspended. The actions of the officers may now lead to their termination, according to Achille mayor, David Northcutt.

Erik Prince, founder of the notorious private military firm Blackwater, struggled to explain his apparent anti-Muslim sentiment when confronted by Al Jazeera host Mehdi Hasan.

During his Head to Head talk show, Hasan asked Prince why he called people in Iraq “chanting barbarians American troops had been sent to liberate” in his memoir. Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, President Trump is abandoning his prior “America First” legal immigration reforms to support increases of legal immigration levels in order to expand profits for businesses and corporations.

For the fourth time in about a month, Trump suggested increasing legal immigration levels.
