On Monday, a Jacksonville, Florida city inspector walked into a Cedar Hills Estate business that had flags flying above the building to honor the different branches of the U.S. military and issued a warning citation to the business, then allegedly told a veteran protesting her action, “You did nothing for this country.”

HOUSTON (Reuters) – An explosion set off a huge fire at Valero Energy Corp’s 225,000 barrel-per-day (bpd) Texas City, Texas, refinery on Thursday afternoon but the fire was quickly contained, according the City of Texas City Emergency Management office.

Over the weekend, the United States led a coordinated attack—along with French and British forces—on the sovereign country of Syria. The attack consisted of hundreds of missiles which were recorded hitting civilian targets and also reportedly struck a cancer research facility. And now, we are learning that all of it was based on an alleged use of sarin gas for which they had no evidence.

Island County, WA — In 2015, Keaton Farris, 25, was accused of trying to cash a $355 check that wasn’t written out him. After failing to appear for his court date, he was arrested on March 20. He would not leave the jail alive.

Now, after three years of trying to hold the officers responsible for his death accountable, Washington state’s version of “justice” has been served. The officers responsible for his death have been sentenced for their crimes. A Delta Air Lines flight from the US to London made an emergency landing in Atlanta, Georgia after an engine caught fire. It comes a day after a passenger died on a Southwest Airlines flight following an engine explosion.
