Veterans Wait While Illegal Get Free HealthcareAmmoLand – by Michelle Malkin

Los Angeles, CA – -(Ammoland.com)- A government that fails to secure its borders is guilty of dereliction of duty.

A government that fails to care for our men and women on the frontlines is guilty of malpractice.

A government that puts the needs of illegal aliens above U.S. veterans for political gain should be prosecuted for criminal neglect bordering on treason.   Continue reading “How America Treats Illegal Aliens vs. Veterans… Happy Memorial Day”

Southern California –-(Ammoland.com)  It used to be called suicide by cop.  That is when some insane guy points a toy gun at a police officer fully expecting that the officer will kill him.   It is a tragic situation at best.  It is made worse when the next of kin complains about unnecessary violence.

Sadly, the next of kin also complains when an ordinary citizen faces a violent criminal and the citizen uses lethal force in self-defense.  We should call it suicide by citizen.  I’ll go a step further.   Continue reading “Criminals Commit Suicide by Citizen”

Wall Street Journal – by Tom McClintock

One of the worst droughts in California’s history has devastated more than a half-million acres of the most fertile farmland in America. In communities like Sacramento, “water police” go from door to door to enforce conservation measures. There’s even a mobile “app” to report neighbors to city authorities so they can be fined for wasting water.

With the Sierra snowpack at 4% of normal as of May 20, Californians will desperately need what little water remains behind its dams this summer. Authorities have warned some towns like Folsom—home of Folsom Lake—to expect daily rationing of 50 gallons per person, a 60% cut from average household usage.    Continue reading “California Drains Reservoirs in the Middle of a Drought”

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Serving aboard an American submarine was one of the most dangerous assignments in World War II, with nearly 1 in 5 crew members losing their lives somewhere in the ocean depths.

Paul Wittmer of suburban St. Louis has spent years working to ensure that those men — more than 3,600 sailors — are remembered, including a book that has been years in the making. Wittmer, a submarine veteran who turned 90 last week, has conducted research for eight years at the National Archives at St. Louis, which houses millions of military personnel records. He compiled biographical information on every man lost aboard a submarine during the war. The research fills six volumes.   Continue reading “Missouri man chronicles losses on WWII submarines”

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — After 17 years on the force, San Jose Police officer Huan Nguyen had learned not to get emotionally involved in his work. But then one got through.

Obama's Constitutional Balance of Powers.Militia News – by Chris Banescu

President “I am not a dictator” Obama, the same man who once bemoaned that the U.S. Constitution is deeply flawed and America’s Founding Fathers had “an enormous blind spot” when they wrote it, is again complaining that our Constitutional Republic does not satisfy his dictatorial aspirations. Apparently, the inconvenience of having each state represented equally in the Senate is inconveniencing his ability to shove his leftist personal agenda down the throat of Congress and the American people.   Continue reading “Obama Unhappy with America’s Constitutional Balance of Powers”
