Last Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a treaty with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Kazakhstan President Nurultan Nazarbayev to launch the Eurasian Economic Union. The move comes on the heels of a $400 billion natural gas deal he signed with China and announcements that Russia will use rubles instead of dollars to conduct most international trade.

Western aggression in Ukraine was the last straw for the Russians, who saw this movie before in their own country.   Continue reading “Putin Launches Eurasian Economic Union”

WASHINGTON — Arguing for a constitutional amendment to bar unlimited spending in politics, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said the flood of unregulated campaign dollars made him feel “unclean.”

The Nevada Democrat said he first experienced the unpleasantness of unchecked cash when he narrowly defeated John Ensign (R) in 1998, when Supreme Court rulings allowed money to be funneled through state parties. Each side spent about $10 million in that race, Reid said.   Continue reading “Harry Reid Says He Felt Dirty From Unlimited ‘Corrupting’ Campaign Cash”

Sometimes when shady plans backfire, they backfire really well. This was definitely the case on Saturday May 31st in Tulsa Oklahoma, as The Oklahoma Open Carry Association met Moms Demand Action for the first time.

The anti-gun group requested a booth at the local farmers market and was denied, so they set up shop right on the outskirts of the downtown Tulsa event in order to gather signatures. They were a bit surprised when members of The Oklahoma Open Carry Association approached them to ask some questions. As is usually the case when dealing with liberals, the questions we asked went unanswered as the host of their event, (who incidentally, didn’t look like that much of a mom seeing as though he was a man) deflected the questions and attempted to change the subject, ridicule and even accuse us of wanting to start a war with the police. This came about because he made it perfectly clear that he didn’t want to be in any public establishment with citizens carrying handguns in the open. He was alluding to his belief that we are just a bunch of untrained rednecks that simply shoot indiscriminately in all directions just to prove how big our egos are.   Continue reading “Tulsa Chipotle Kicks out Anti-Gunners “Moms Demand Action” for Rude Behavior”

Ask Marion

One must question why we wouldn’t have sent in help, that was available, to save our Ambassador in Benghazi and why Sec of State John Kerry would not have demanded the release of our Marine, Sgt Tahmooressi, sitting in a jail in Mexico for making the wrong turn, when Kerry was already down there, but we would exchange 5 Taliban Commanders for one soldier that now seems to have gone AWOL and perhaps even joined the Taliban?!?   Continue reading “Judge Jeanine: Obama violated the law by not notifying Congress about the release of the Gitmo 5”

The White House has apologized to Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) for failing to alert her in advance of a decision to release Taliban commanders from Guantanamo Bay.

Feinstein told reporters that she received a call from Deputy National Security Adviser Tony Blinken on Monday evening apologizing for what the administration is calling an “oversight.”   Continue reading “WH apologizes to Senate intel chief for prisoner swap secret”

BANGKOK (AP) – Thailand’s military rulers said Tuesday they are monitoring a new form of silent resistance to the coup – a three-fingered salute borrowed from “The Hunger Games” – and will arrest those in large groups who ignore warnings to lower their arms.

Despite the warning to protesters, the junta offered a reprieve to the country’s vital tourism industry. It lifted the military’s curfew at three popular beach resorts – Phuket, Koh Samui and Pattaya – to ease the impact of the May 22 coup on tourists. Trinity’s Conscious Kitchen

As a conscious gardener, I am aware that unless we all start foraging again and totally return to nature (which certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing in this day and age), that our gardens will always be a little out of balance – no matter how kind to the earth we are. Yet, I am always seeking to find the most compassionate, resourceful ways to grow veggies whilst causing as little disharmony as I can along the way.

One of the biggest battles I have found with gardening in the UK, especially in Somerset (which appears to be rain and flood central at the moment) is how to stop slugs and snails from wiping out my entire crop of vegetables. These hungry little molluscs are the bane of most kitchen gardens and whilst I love all animals, it hardly seems fair that they’ve often eaten far more of my vegetable crop than I ever have…   Continue reading “Keeping slugs & snails off your veggies compassionately”

(This is not my story, but was forwarded to me by a friend.)

It was a fine summer day…

Well, it would be fine, if it weren’t for all those big yellow dandelions cropping up in the lawn.  My husband, Don, and I tried to eliminate them from our view, but with no success.  They held steadfast.  I was reluctant to use chemicals, thinking of possible harm to our feathered friends who visited the various bird-feeders and bird-houses which Don had built and placed around our yard.   Continue reading “The Color Yellow”

Police Officer Arresting A Woman With HandcuffsThe Empire’s Storm Troopers strike back.  We need to cover this story and get it out on the air nationwide.  My sense is that the mayor, council and the chief of police are all in cahoots.  If one goes down, they all go down, that is why they are striking back and hard.  The objective is to dissuade people from following through on any effort to either remove the mayor, the prosecutor or the chief of police.
