On July 24, the day after John Russell Houser allegedly used a handgun to kill two people in Lafayette, Louisiana, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley called on Congress to ban “the sale of assault weapons” and “[establish] a national gun registry.”

DETROIT (Reuters) – A Satanic organization unveiled a controversial bronze Baphomet sculpture in Detroit just before midnight on Saturday, after trying in vain to have it installed near a 10 Commandments monument in Oklahoma.
Due to planned demonstrations, the group, which is opposed to Bible-themed displays on government land, kept the location of the unveiling of its 9-foot-tall monument secret until the last moment, when it emailed the information to ticket holders. The United States has persuaded its North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies to provide a steady flow of arms to the Kurds in Iraq after Israel convinced Washington that these northern forces are pivotal to the defeat of Islamic State (ISIS).
Israel has been arming the Kurds for many years. It also has special forces trainers on the ground advising them. While it is generally accepted the Kurds can be a major bulwark against ISIS advances in northern Iraq, there is also a Kurdish population in Syria battling ISIS and its affiliate, the al-Nusra Front. U. S. officials on Friday denied a Wall Street Journal report that the Obama administration was considering early release for Jonathan Pollard, a former U.S. Navy intelligence officer convicted of spying for Israel.
The Justice Department said Pollard must serve his full 30-year sentence. It stressed that he has long been eligible for consideration for parole in November but insisted that the administration has no say in how that process unfolds. I don’t believe that it is a coincidence that all of these latest “incidents” are located in southern states. The International Communists have not been as successful at pushing their “gun control’ in the South. This is their big push. I’m sure other agendas are at play as well. A judge on Friday ordered the seizure of identification documents and computer hard drives from Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office, and chastised his attorneys for failing to turn over the evidence, requested months ago in a racial-profiling case against the Arizona lawman.
The U.S. Marshals Service later raided the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
U.S. District Judge Murray Snow ordered the raid after a court-ordered monitor reported the sheriff’s office failed to hand over more than 1,400 identification documents – driver’s licenses, passports and identification cards – as part of a misconduct investigation involving the sheriff’s office. There isn’t much that feels more self-reliant than going out to your backyard hen house to get fresh eggs for breakfast. There’s no need for USDA approval, you know what your hens have been eating, and you don’t have to pay a premium price and hope that the farm who raised the chickens that laid those grocery store eggs actually treated the hens humanely. Both are amendments to a must-pass highway bill that the Senate is trying to complete ahead of a July 31 deadline. Already there are numerous young Barack Obamas living in Kogelo, the president’s ancestral village, but soon after Obama touched down on Friday night two mothers in the western city of Kisumu took the unusual decision to name their sons after the president’s jet, Air Force One. The Ameren Corp. nuclear power plant in central Missouri was shut down for the second time in eight months Thursday after a “non-emergency” leak was found in the reaction control system.
