Godfather Politics – by Tad Cronn

The Republican Party leadership must be having a lot of trouble sleeping these days.

With two political outsiders — Donald Trump and Ben Carson — leading the presidential pack by tapping into voters’ justified anger at the GOP, these are some desperate times, at least according to the Washington Post.

One of the surest signs of desperation is the simmering movement to draft Mitt Romney to make a late entry into the race. GOP strategists have gone so far as to lay out plans for a challenge at the GOP convention.   Continue reading “Will You Vote for Romney if RINOs Make Him the Nominee?”

Having exposed the world yesterday to the 2-mile long line of tankers-full’o’crude heading from Iraq to the US, several weeks after reporting that China has run out of oil storage space we can now confirm that the global crude “in transit” glut is becoming gargantuan and is starting to have adverse consequences on the price of oil.

While the crude oil tanker backlog in Houston reaches an almost unprecedented 39 (with combined capacity of 28.4 million barrels), as The FT reports that from China to the Gulf of Mexico, the growing flotilla of stationary supertankers is evidence that the oil price crash may still have further to run, as more than 100m barrels of crude oil and heavy fuels are being held on ships at sea (as the year-long supply glut fills up available storage on land). The storage problems are so severe in fact, that traders asking ships to go slow, and that is where we see something very strange occurring off the coast near Galveston, TX.   Continue reading “Something Very Strange Is Taking Place Off The Coast Of Galveston, TX”

Convincingly arguing they’ve lost enough of their lives and limbs and peace of mind to earn the right to seek relief from their ensuing pain – physical or psychological – however they damn choose, veterans and their advocates are increasingly demanding freedom from toxic, addictive, often-calamitous prescription meds and access to medical weed. Several national protests this week around Veterans Day culminated in a march on Washington, D.C., where  protesting veterans dumped a mountain of pill bottles in front of the White House to make their harrowing point. “Here’s what the over-medication of our veterans looks like,” one declared. “We don’t want it.”   Continue reading “Weed For Warriors”

The 58-year-old Scotch-drinking, cigar-smoking comic is best known for his “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” — but he’s looking to change that with a brisk move into politics.   Continue reading “‘Blue Collar’ comedian Ron White announces he’s running for president”

USA – On October 3 2015, Mark Carman posted a YouTube video ( youtu.be/YN6rjamk0Q0 ) in which he equated gun rights with motorcycle ownership–arguing that the licensing requirement for the latter provides some standard to guide licensing requirements for the former–and the White House responded by inviting him to come visit on November 16 and 17 2015..?!?

While there Carman is scheduled “to meet one-on-one with Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to President Obama,” and to address Congress in a bid to secure more gun control.   Continue reading “Misinformed Man Equates Gun Rights With Motorcycle Ownership, Gets White House Invite”

Throughout four-and-a-half years of conflict, Russia has gone all-out to resolve it diplomatically – in stark contrast to Washington, wanting endless war continued, no matter the devastating human toll.

Obama bears full responsibility for horrific carnage and mass displacement, using ISIS and other takfiri terrorists, imported foot soldiers from scores of countries, supplemented since September 2014 by US air attacks on Syrian infrastructure and other government targets, aiming to replace Assad with a Western-controlled puppet, eliminate an Israeli rival and isolate Iran.   Continue reading “US Rejects Russia’s Syrian Peace Proposal”

America’s unconditional support for Israel is driven largely by its influence on the US electoral process, a  political activist from California says.

“The military assistance and the economic aid and the help that the United States gives in the United Nations to protect Israel with its veto power… comes largely from domestic politics, not because this benefits the United States,” Paul Larudee, co-founder of the Free Palestine Movement, said on Thursday.   Continue reading “Israel largely controls US electoral process: Activist”
