NEW YORK (AP) — The Northeast is bracing for winter’s last hurrah — a blizzard expected to sweep the New York region starting Monday with possibly the season’s biggest snowstorm dumping up to 18 inches on Central Park.

The National Weather Service issued a blizzard watch Sunday for coastal regions including New York City and surrounding areas of Long Island, Westchester County and Connecticut. A winter storm watch was in effect for a larger area of the Northeast: New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New England.   Continue reading “Northeast blizzard could dump 18 inches of snow on New York”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway says she doesn’t have any evidence to support President Donald Trump’s claim that Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower phone lines during the election.

Instead, Conway is pointing to recent revelations about other government surveillance to suggest it was possible Obama used a different technique. Her response was unlikely to tamp down criticism of Trump’s tweets earlier this month. The House intelligence committee has asked the administration to provide evidence of the allegation by Monday.  Continue reading “Trump adviser says gov’t has many ways to surveil people”

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The head of the Louisiana State Police called it the most disturbing thing he has seen: a 6-year-old autistic boy’s lifeless body strapped into the front seat of a car riddled with bullets fired by two law enforcement officers.

Video from a police officer’s body camera captured the burst of gunfire and gruesome aftermath of the shooting that killed Jeremy Mardis and critically wounded his father during a November 2015 traffic stop. The footage also showed the father with his hands raised inside his car as the deputy city marshals opened fire. At least four of their 18 shots tore into Jeremy.   Continue reading “Murder trial to open for deputy charged in child’s shooting”

WEB Notes: Of course vaccines have something to do with autism, if not the primary reason. If you reference this article it documents how the top ten nations in the world with autism are Westernized nations. Everything becomes questionably including the food we are consuming that is full of things we cannot pronounce. The CDC says the rate for autism in the US is now 1 in 68 while in the year 2000 the rate for autism was 1 in 150. This is a tremendous increase in such a short period of time and we all know vaccines are pushed on the people in their daily walk, in schools and daycare centers and for adults, in some workforce centers including hospitals. While that “official” figure from the CDC stands at 1 in 68 there is data to suggest the number is 1 in 50.

Casting his ObamaCare replacement bill as the only chance to save America from a complete health-care collapse, Speaker Paul Ryan Sunday countered his conservative critics who say the bill fails to make good on Republicans’ promise to repeal ObamaCare.

“Understand the speaker’s plan doesn’t repeal ObamaCare,” a member of the House Republicans’ Freedom Caucus, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), said Sunday. “Even Charles Krauthammer said that, called it ObamaCare Lite, as you said earlier. It doesn’t bring down premiums and it doesn’t unite Republicans. So, why not do what we all voted for just 15 months ago, clean repeal, and then get focused and build some momentum to actually replace ObamaCare with something that’s going to bring down costs?”   Continue reading “Ryan Warns: If We Don’t Pass My Bill, ‘The System Is Going To Collapse’”

School officials in Paris, KY are attempting to overstep their boundaries by conducting unannounced visits to homeschooling families. According to the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), these visits are a clear violation of a state-wide agreement that was implemented to protect a family’s constitutional right to privacy.

The school officials claim they are only there to help the parents, but part of their plan to help involves demanding information from parents about attendance records and curriculum. They have even asked to meet the children to question them in some instances. One home school parent, Jenny Griffith, who received one of these visits said “I got the impression that district staff could become more difficult if I didn’t cooperate in answering their questions or bring out my child to meet them. I tried to handle the situation as civilly as possible, without adding any threat to them.” The officials also told her that the district intends on visiting every homeschooling family three times a year.   Continue reading “Homeschoolers under attack by officials conducting unannounced visits”

Many of the 2017 economic headwinds I’ve described will hit during the Ides of March, just as the Trump stock-market Rally shows signs of topping out. This might not be the Great Epocalypse — not all at once anyway — but a large and likely correction is looming. I think the bear is about to be let out of his cage.

Chaos emerged in emerging-market stocks last week, bond prices plummeted (yields rose to match their last 2016 high), stock-market volatility rose, and the Dow took its worst drop in 2017. Copper prices, a bellwether for recessionary conditions, saw their worst week since last September. It looked like the Trump rally in almost everything was rolling over last week, and that takes us into this week when several likely big bads are scheduled to hit on the same day.   Continue reading “Will Mid-March Madness Maul the Stock Market in 2017?”

A couple from Oregon have been told that they must destroy a 2-acre pond on their land because the government said they have to. The pond on Jon and Sabrina Carey’s 10-acre property near Butte Falls is the land’s most attractive feature and has been in place for 40 years. In an interview with the Mail Tribune, Jon became teary-eyed as he stood next to the pond and said, “I basically bought a lemon. That’s how they explained it to me.” The couple, who purchased the property two and a half years ago, are desperate to keep this feature intact, and therefore have “pleaded with the Medford Water Commission to adopt the pond and treat it as a municipal water source, something Jackson County Watermaster Larry Menteer has opposed because of the precedent it would set. The Water Commission has rights to the watershed around the Careys’ property, where dozens, if not hundreds, of ponds are located, as well as Medford’s primary source of water, Big Butte Springs”, reports the Mail Tribune.   Continue reading “Oregon Couple Forced To Destroy Their Pond Because Government Ruled It Illegal”

John Robert Lewis is a treasonous U.S. Congressman for Georgia’s 5th congressional district.

The seventy-six-year-old Congressman John Lewis once did something so heroic, so noble, that it helped to change the course of a nation for the better. The Georgia Democrat was beaten up savagely by white Southern racists in 1965, and everyone appreciates very much his personal sacrifice to advance civil rights.   Continue reading “John Robert Lewis is a traitor.”

California exports more than commodities such as movies, new technologies and produce. As The Sacramento Bee reports, it also exports truck drivers, cooks and cashiers.

Every year from 2000 through 2015, more people left California than moved in from other states. This migration was not spread evenly across all income groups, a Sacramento Bee review of U.S. Census Bureau data found. Continue reading “California Is Exporting Its Poor To Texas”
