The woman accused of acting as the getaway driver for three would-be burglars shot and killed by a homeowner’s son in Oklahoma was arrested, law enforcement officials announced late Monday.

More details also emerged about the moments leading up to the gunshots. Soil from the Fukushima prefecture may be used as landfill for the creation of “green areas” in Japan, a government panel has proposed, facing potential public backlash over fears of exposure to residual radiation from the decontaminated earth.

Russia can use Iranian military bases for airstrikes targeting terrorists in Syria on a “case by case basis,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told Reuters.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Police arrested a suspect in connection with the vandalism at a mosque near Colorado State University, a case they are investigating as a hate crime. Joseph Scott Giaquinto, 35, was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including a crime motivated by bias, The Coloradoan reports (http://noconow.co/2mKWQEG ).

Police had asked for the public’s help in identifying the person who overturned benches, broke windows and threw a Bible into Islamic Center of Fort Collins, which is about 60 miles north of Denver. The Dakota Access pipeline developer said Monday that it has placed oil in the pipeline under a Missouri River reservoir in North Dakota and that it’s preparing to put the pipeline into service. Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners made the announcement in a brief court filing with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The announcement marks a significant development in the long battle over the project that will move North Dakota oil 2000 miles (1930 kilometers) through South Dakota and Iowa to a shipping point in Illinois. WEB Notes: Who is implementing these laws and who is voting these people into office? The people need to get up off their couch and turn off their facebooks and get out there and learn to make a stand. Pulling funds from a school because there are too many white students? This is insane. If I was a property owner in this district you better believe I would be visiting the county in person to discuss this situation and discuss why I am paying taxes for this. Unacceptable.

A Florida man killed his girlfriend and wounded five others, including her two young sons and a high school student during a shooting spree with an AK-47 rifle on Monday, police said.

The shootings started around 6 a.m. inside a home in Sanford, about 30 miles (48 km) north of Orlando.
