AMALIA, N.M. – Tiny pairs of pants, broken-down bikes with training wheels and discarded children’s shoes haphazardly scattered among the homemade-brick walls and a half-buried RV hint at the tragedy and mystery unfolding in this remote community.

Here, down a dirt road scratched through the sagebrush, investigators are trying to piece together why a group of heavily armed Muslims took up residence on property they didn’t own and built a compound from wooden pallets, clear plastic tarps and dirt-filled tires. Investigators also are trying to understand the death of a 3-year-old child, whose body was found buried on the site about four hours south of Denver.   Continue reading “Gruesome discovery follows SWAT raid on New Mexico compound where 16 people lived in buried RV, truck”

OK, I’m not endorsing crime here. But I have to admit, I admire the creativity and work ethic some criminals put into their craft.  I always wonder what some of these people could make out of themselves if they would channel their talent into more socially constructive channels.

Take these guys from Australia. They pulled off one heck of a gold heist using a stolen sewage truck.    Continue reading “This Gold Heist Reads Like a Plot from a Comic Book”

Over the past three years, an unexpected voice of caution has emerged from one of the most legendary families in finance: Lord Jacob Rothschild.

Readers may recall that as part of the RIT Capital Partners 2014 annual report commentary, the scion of Rothschild family warned that “the geopolitical situation is most dangerous since WWII.” One year later, Jacob Rothschild again warned about the outcome of “what is surely the greatest experiment in monetary policy in the history of the world“, and then again in August 2017 he cautioned that “share prices have in many cases risen to unprecedented levels at a time when economic growth is by no means assured.”   Continue reading “Lord Rothschild: The New World Order Is At Risk”

Delegates of West Virginia’s House Judiciary Committee took a stunningly drastic step on Tuesday, approving articles of impeachment against every single remaining justice on the state Supreme Court of Appeals, the Hill and other outlets are reporting. Justice Menis Ketchum resigned his job last month and subsequently pleaded guilty on a federal charge of wire fraud.

“I think the overwhelming evidence we saw was there was an atmosphere of entitlement and cavalier disregard for the expenditure of taxpayer money. It’s unfortunate the entire court seems to be infected by that atmosphere.”   Continue reading “Entire West Virginia Supreme Court Facing Impeachment”
