SAN DIEGO (CBSLA) — A Los Angeles police officer has been arrested on federal charges alleging he tried to smuggle two illegal immigrants into the United States this week in southeastern San Diego County.

Two pistols made from a meteorite estimated to be around 4.5 billion years old have priced that pair at $4.5 million. The company that created the pistols, Cabot Guns, has effectively produced the world’s most expensive handguns, each worth about $2.25 million.

Known as the “Big Bang Pistol Set,” the guns were forged from metals found in the Gibeon meteorite, which fell in Namibia and is named for the nearest town after it was discovered in 1836 by English captain J. E. One Liberian with Lebanese nationality and ten Africans have been convicted in an Algerian court on charges of spying for Israel, the Anadolu Agency news service has reported.

According to the report, the Algerian court sentenced a “Liberian national of Lebanese origin” to death and another seven African nationals from Guinea and Mali to 10 years in prison on charges of “espionage for Israel.”   Continue reading “Algeria: Eleven Africans Convicted of Spying for Israel”

A showdown is brewing in the State of Oregon following gun control advocates’ proposed assault weapons ban called Initiative Proposition 43 (IP43). Under the guise of “gun control” and “safety of our children,” proponents of the measure aim to effectively ban all weapons produced since the Civil War. But several counties are pushing back with their own Second Amendment Preservation Ordinances.

Klamath and Deschutes Counties are attempting to push back against the ordinance by passing their own county-wide ordinances to disallow the county sheriff from enforcing any state or federal law which would infringe on county residents’ rights to keep and bear arms. OAK CITY, N.C. — For the sake of a greener Europe, thousands of American trees are falling each month in the forests outside this cotton-country town.

Every morning, logging crews go to work in densely wooded bottomlands along the Roanoke River, clearing out every tree and shrub down to the bare dirt. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen sent a message to members of the “migrant caravan” who are now in Tijuana. The migrants announced they plan to enter the U.S. in massive numbers to declare asylum. Neilsen also addressed her warning to the organizers who may be coaching migrants on how to falsely make a “credible fear” claim.

“If you enter our country illegally, you have broken the law and will be referred for prosecution,” Nielsen stated on Wednesday. “If you make a false immigration claim, you have broken the law and will be referred for prosecution. In December we shared how we’re expanding our work to remove content that violates our policies. Today, we’re providing an update and giving you additional insight into our work, including the release of the first YouTube Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.

We are taking an important first step by releasing a quarterly report on how we’re enforcing our Community Guidelines. This regular update will help show the progress we’re making in removing violative content from our platform.
