Chicago, IL — A disturbing video has been released as part of a lawsuit against the LaSalle County Sheriff’s office showing deputies throw an apparently innocent woman to the ground before stripping off all of her clothes. Zandrea Askew, a former sergeant in the Marine Corps says she was “humiliated, degraded and dehumanized” and the video backs her up.

The lawsuit was filed this week in federal court and it alleges false arrest, abuse, and horrifying treatment by deputies. According to the lawsuit, Askew was sitting in her parked car when two LaSalle County sheriff’s deputies stopped and questioned her. A massive data leak has been discovered at the Oklahoma Securities Commission, in which millions of records — including files related to sensitive FBI investigations over the last seven years, emails dating back 17 years and thousands of Social Security numbers — have been exposed.

The Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for Attorney General nominee William Barr have focused heavily on Barr’s views on Special Counsel Robert Mueller. But nobody is asking about Barr’s legal crusade for blanket immunity for federal agents who killed American citizens.

Barr received a routine questionnaire from the Judiciary Committee asking him to disclose his past work including pro bono activities “serving the disadvantaged.” The “disadvantaged” that Barr spent the most time helping was an FBI agent who slayed an Idaho mother holding her baby in 1992.
