Mexico on Sunday threatened to take legal action against the United States for failing to protect its citizens after this weekend’s mass shooting in the border city of El Paso.

Twenty people were killed at a Walmart in El Paso Texas on Saturday reportedly by the hands of a single suspected gunman who was identified by various news sources as Patrick Crusius, 21, of Allen, Texas. However, information received by Intellihub may tell a different story.

Two mass shootings have rocked the United States in less than 24 hours, leaving dozens dead and many more wounded. The first in El Paso, Texas was allegedly perpetrated by a white supremacist whose racist motives are outlined in a rambling “manifesto”, the second allegedly by a self-described “leftist” whose motives, like the 2017 Las Vegas shooter, are presently unknown. Hong Kong’s embattled leader, Carrie Lam, has warned that mass protests have pushed the region to the brink of a “very dangerous situation” as residents went on strike, paralysing the city.

It’s a position none of us here ever thought we would be faced with. Yes, we heard rumors as children, and some of us saw it coming, but for the most part, a lot of us were hit with a left hook. We never thought in a thousand years our own people would throw the American Dream to the gutter.

As a child I can remember playing hand ball, playing on the monkey bars, running around on the field playing touch football during our school recess, it was 45 minutes of pure fun, sweating profusely from all the fun, returning to our class room for a lesson on our beloved Bill of Rights, with a surprise quiz always to follow. In the second mass shooting in less than 15 hours, at least nine people were killed and 27 injured in 30 seconds early on Sunday after a gunman in body armor and wielding an AK-47-style assault rifle opened fire in downtown Dayton, Ohio, according to police.
