Taser and surveillance vendor Axon has proposed what it claims to be the solution to the epidemic of school shootings in the United States: a remote-controlled flying drone armed with a taser. For many many reasons, this is a dangerous idea. Armed drones would mission-creep their way into more every-day policing. We must oppose a process of normalizing the arming of drones and robots. Over a third of Americans who make at least $250,000 per year say they’re living paycheck to paycheck, which Bloomberg suggests underscores how inflation is ‘taking a bigger bite out of Americans’ budgets at all ends of the pay spectrum.’

Private sector employment rose by a bleak 128,000 for May. The actual numbers fall far short of the estimates, with a further decline from the downwardly revised 202,000 in April, initially reported as a gain of 247,000. Brent crude oil is overvalued and should fall significantly as demand drops and recession fears loom, according to Citi’s global head of commodity research.

Democrats are in total control of the federal government and about 13 million Obamacare recipients are about to receive notice of a 53 percent premium price increase.
