On December 28, MBPD flew a tiny, helium-filled dirigible, or “tethered aerostat,” over an Orange Bowl-related party called the Capital One Beach Bash. A Texas sheriff’s deputy and his K-9 partner stopped $1.5 million in cocaine from reaching its final destination during a traffic stop on Monday.

Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Randy Thuman stopped a Ford F-150 for a traffic violation on Interstate 10 between San Antonio and Houston. Following an interview with the driver and his passenger, the sergeant became suspicious that the pair could be smuggling drugs, according to a statement provided to Breitbart News by Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Lt. For the second time in 18 months, a dead body has been found at the home of Ed Buck, a prominent LA-based Democratic donor who once ran for the West Hollywood City Council, according to reports from a local TV station.

KTLA reported that the body of a man in his 50s was found by police shortly after 1 am on Monday. Eight years to the day that former Rep. Gabby Giffords was shot at a constituent meeting in Tuscon, Arizona, House Democrats said they’re planning to unveil a universal background check bill they hope to pass within the first 100 days of the new Congress.
