California has become the poster child for what happens when you let massive immigration into a state without any concern for safety. The state’s policies basically let anybody in, and show what will happen when you have zero regard for the consequences. QUERETARO, Mexico (Reuters) – Hundreds of Central American migrants resumed their march north through Mexico on Saturday, en route to the U.S. border where President Donald Trump has effectively suspended the granting of asylum to migrants who cross illegally.
Trump’s Friday order, which went into effect on Saturday, means that migrants will have to present themselves at U.S. ports of entry to qualify for asylum and follow other rules unveiled on Thursday that seek to limit asylum claims. The United States is committing crimes by building military bases around China but instead is accusing the Asian power of militarization, an American writer and retired professor says.

UPS Freight says it is working “to empty [its] network of freight by Friday,” due to the potential for a work stoppage by its drivers. UPS Freight is the company’s less-than-truckload division, for which about 12,000 drivers work.
The Teamsters Union represents the drivers, and union leadership has threatened a strike, says UPS Freight, should the drivers reject an offer made by UPS Freight on Oct. 25. California’s existing gun control laws are under the microscope after 12 people were killed on Wednesday at a bar in Thousand Oaks, the New York Times reports.
The big picture: California already has some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the country, but governor-elect Gavin Newsom is considering passing “even tougher laws” following Wednesday’s shooting. He said this week that he would have signed into law some gun measures that Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed in the past. For many years it has been apparent most observers of the mortgage crisis that the Banks have switched their traditional role of creditor seeking to get paid to something else — a “servicer” or “Trustee” seeking foreclosure. in fact, in multiple cases where the homeowner has had sufficient funds to pay off the “debt” upon proof of ownership and balance, the banks have actually argued in court that they should not be required to accept the money. They argue that is their election to seek foreclosure. Judges did not agree, but they still are pursuing a business model of exactly that — seeking foreclosure rather than payment. A Mexican national charged with killing three people in Missouri in early November was released from a New Jersey county jail in 2017, despite being the subject an active immigration detention request, federal authorities said Friday.

A wildfire has destroyed most of a Northern California town of 27,000 people. Five people were found dead in vehicles overcome by the so-called “Camp Fire” in Paradise, authorities said. The victims have not been identified.
