Punta Gorda, FL — A Charlotte County deputy was caught trafficking a controlled substance which predators use to knock their unwitting victims unconscious to have their way with them. The investigation found that the deputy was responsible for shipping large quantities of the dangerous ‘date rape’ drug and tampering with physical evidence to cover it up, yet he’s never been charged.

SWANTON, Vt. (AP) — U.S. Border Patrol agents say they have apprehended 10 Romanian citizens trying the cross the U.S.-Canadian border illegally in northern Vermont and New York.

Authorities say they found two women and two children illegally crossing the border into the U.S. near Meridian Road in Champlain, New York, on Tuesday. The first of the two-seat hybrid-electric vehicles, which can switch between driving and flying modes in less than a minute, will be delivered to customers next year.

The FBI released new homicide data this week, and at the nationwide level, the 2017 homicide rate fell slightly, dropping to 5.3 homicides per 100,000 from 2016’s rate of 5.4.

Everytown for Gun Safety, the pro-gun control group founded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is rolling out a $5 million digital ad campaign targeting 15 House races, as the group continues heavy investment in the midterm elections.

The group announced plans to target House districts embedded in suburban communities outside of cities like Atlanta, Kansas City, Miami and Minneapolis.
