BOULDER — A controversial city ordinance to ban “assault weapons, bump stocks and high capacity magazines” passed the Boulder City Council unanimously on first reading Thursday night after more than five hours of public testimony on both sides of the issue.

Here at the house, I have a couple of decades plus of military experience. I have tools to dig in or out of natural disasters. I have extinguishers and hoses. I have a field trauma kit and bandages. I have weapons both melee and firearm. I know how to use them. I know how to trench, support and revet. I understand the fire triangle and appropriate approaches. I understand breathing, bleeding and shock. I know how to detain, restrain and control. I have done all of these at least occasionally, professionally. I’ve stood on top of a collapsing levee in a flood. I’ve fought a structure fire from inside so we could get everyone out before the fire department showed up, which only took two minutes, but people can die that fast. I’ve had structures collapse while I was working on them. I’ve been in an aircraft that had a “mechanical” on approach and had to be repaired in-flight before landing. AMMAN (Reuters) – Syria and its main ally Russia blamed Israel for carrying out an attack on a Syrian air base near Homs on Monday which followed reports of a poison gas attack by President Bashar al-Assad’s forces on a rebel-held town.

It’s barely four months into the year and already, armed government workers have shot to death 294 people. This is more than twice as many people as have been shot to death by freelancers – those not wearing government uniforms who shot people at schools – during the past six years.

Last week, we noted that George Soros had taken some time out from his battle of wills with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to grant one of his underlings approval to begin trading in crypto. Back in the early 1990s, I interviewed John Marks, author of Search for the Manchurian Candidate. This was the book (1979) that helped expose the existence and range of the infamous CIA MKULTRA program.

The decisions we make about certain issues are formed by scientific evidence, things we see and hear with our own eyes and ears, and years of life experience. Those things informed my decision, for example, to oppose the “gender neutralization” of bathrooms in all Target stores.
Of course, for voicing my opinion I was lambasted as “anti-LGBTQ” (which I am not). I countered that my concern centered mostly around my life experience-informed belief that someone would abuse the store’s progressive policy and harm or potentially harm an unsuspecting child. It’s deja vu all over again.
Remember when the US admitted Syrian “Rebels” have used chemical weapons? Or when earlier this year, now former Secretary of State blamed Russia for an alleged Syrian chemical attack despite admitting he doesn’t know who actually did it? Or when the US finally admitted there was “no evidence” Assad used sarin gas? Or just last week, when Trump said that the US is finally pulling out of Syria as a result of the defeat of ISIS (much to the Pantagon’s fury and open-ended timetable for extracting Syrian resources)? All major US American Jewish organizations—under the aegis of the Anti-Defamation League, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, J Street, the National Council of Jewish Women, the New Israel Fund, the Rabbinical Assembly, and the Union for Reform Judaism—have jointly demanded that Israel stick to the United Nations’ plan to deport African invaders in Israel to white nations, rather than send them back to Africa.
In a joint letter signed by those organizations—and joined by a number of others, including Reconstructing Judaism, Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association, and T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights—the US Jews urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “pursue a humane solution for the 39,000 asylum seekers currently within Israel’s borders.”
The letter, dated April 5, 2018, said that as “American Jewish organizations. . . we urge Israel to re-commit to an agreement with the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) to guarantee the safety of the 39,000 asylum seekers currently within their borders.”
The letter said the US Jews “appreciate[d]” the “the growing legal and international limitation[s]” on forcibly deporting the Africans and that “this acknowledgement means that Israel will not resume its plans to deport asylum seekers to unnamed countries in Africa.”
“We urge Israel to . . . find a path forward for the refugees by providing full and fair asylum procedures and actively seeking options for third country resettlement.”
“While we were disappointed by the sudden reversal on the agreement with UNHCR, it is not too late. Israel can still take advantage of this opportunity to pursue a humane solution,” the letter concluded.
In other word, the American Jews do not want the Africans to stay in Israel, but rather to be shipped out to white countries in Europe and North America, as the original United Nations plan had envisaged.
