Gold prices have edged up on the back of a tumbling US dollar which, according to analysts, has set the stage for a new bull market for the precious metal. Experts project higher gold prices in the near-term.
The yellow metal was trading at $1,354.65 an ounce as of 10:20 GMT on Thursday, after enjoying its best trading day on Wednesday since June 24, 2016. Continue reading “Plunging US dollar boosts gold’s safe-haven demand”
It is no secret that Palestinian trust in Washington as an impartial broker and mediator in future peace talks with Israel has been shredded.
And given the Trump administration’s reckless, not to mention illegal, decision to declare Washington’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in December 2017, who can blame them? Continue reading “Washington no more: Palestine turns to Moscow for future Israel talks”
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) — Ethiopia’s prime minister announced Thursday he has submitted a resignation letter after the worst anti-government protests in a quarter-century, saying he hoped the surprise decision would help planned reforms succeed and create a “lasting peace.”
“I want to be part of the solution,” Hailemariam Desalegn said in remarks carried by the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation. “I believe that the public’s demands and questions should be met and answered.” It was not immediately clear whether lawmakers had accepted the resignation. FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — Two of the three people who were in a sport utility vehicle that was stopped and fired upon when it tried to enter the National Security Agency campus without authorization have been released, an FBI spokesman said Thursday.
NSA police turned over the other person to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, because he was wanted on allegations of being behind on child support payments, said Dave Fitz, the spokesman for the FBI’s Baltimore field office. It was bad enough when the purported Douglas High School shooter showed up wearing a MAGA hat to create a cartoon simple enough for most American’s to “get it”: This is what Trump means by “Making America Great Again”! But State of the Nation (14 February 2018) has done the nation a valuable service by exposing the most ludicrous elements of another in a seemingly endless series of fabricated shootings, this time, like Sandy Hook, at another school, only not a CT elementary but a FL high school, where the shooter has been reported to have been speaking with another student at the time the shooting was taking place:

A tragedy in Florida unfolded Wednesday afternoon when a psychotic former student terrorized a high school and the nation as he walked into the school and began shooting and killing students. The terrorist shooter killed 17 people.
It is no surprise that the hashtag #GunReformNow is already trending on Twitter as politicians and advocacy groups alike—like every time before—begin milking this tragedy for their political agenda. Parkland, Florida – At least 17 people were killed and 15 were wounded during a mass shooting at a high school in Florida on Wednesday, and the reports that have been released about the suspect indicate that he was taking medications for depression and emotional issues that come packed with dangerous side effects.
Nikolas Cruz, 19, is accused of entering Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and opening fire on his fellow students after he was previously expelled for disciplinary reasons that have not been made public. The Miami Herald reported that Cruz has raised red flags at school in the past, and last year a teacher submitted a warning against letting him on campus with a backpack. While everything about yesterday’s disgusting mass shooting inside a Parkland, Fla., high school is horrifying, there was a ray of hope for humanity as stories from witnesses noted that a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School football coach Aaron Feis shielded students as the gunman opened fire.
However, adding to day’s sadness, Fox News reports that football team’s Twitter account confirmed Aaron Feis’ death early Thursday morning. Continue reading ““He Died A Hero” Florida Football Coach Who Shielded Kids From Killer, Dies”
My fellow Trenchers,
Today is the 3 year anniversary of the day I left L.A. – FOREVER!!!
To begin with, I wish to express my thanks to my good friends and allies of TRUTH, Henry & Laura Shivley, for this site… no other can compare, anywhere, for pure, unadulterated TRUTH. FTT is the only reason I’ve managed to retain what little is left of my sanity for the last (almost) six years. I’d also like to thank my friend & fellow Trencher, Ryan, since Sweet Home was on his list of possibles to move to… it’s exactly the kind of place I’ve wanted to live in for my entire life. No more concrete jungles for me – mountains, trees, lakes, rivers & streams EVERYWHERE… this is truly God’s Country, if anywhere is. Continue reading “Liberation Day Anniversary”

Chabad News – by Menachem Posner
Even after the bullets stopped and the students and adult who were murdered were identified, Parkland Chabad rabbis say the tragedy in their community is just beginning to unfold.
“This is a small community, where nearly half of the population is Jewish, so everyone has been touched by what has happened,” Rabbi Shuey Biston, director of outreach and development of Chabad of Parkland, told Chabad.org. “The phones at Chabad have been ringing off the wall as people come for emotional, spiritual, and material support.” Continue reading “Parkland Rabbis: ‘The Tragedy Is Still Unfolding in Our Community’”

West Hollywood, CA — The family and friends of Gemmel Moore, 26, are fighting an uphill battle to bring the man they say is responsible for his death to justice. Not surprisingly, the fact that Moore, who worked as a male escort, was found dead at the home of 63-year-old Ed Buck—who’s donated hundreds of thousands to Hillary Clinton—has received very little media coverage. A spokesperson for the white supremacist group Republic of Florida (ROF) told the Anti-Defamation League on Thursday, February 15, that Nikolas Cruz, the man charged with the previous day’s deadly shooting spree at a Parkland, Florida, high school, was associated with his group.
On Wednesday, February 14, Cruz, 19, a former student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, allegedly entered the school with an AR-15 and opened fire, killing at least 17 people and injuring 14 more.
