Hagerstown, Maryland – A police officer who has been a member of his department for more than 15 years was arrested and charged with distributing and possessing prescription opiate medications, which he stole from a disabled man while he was on duty.

Christopher Michael Barnett, a sergeant with the Hagerstown Police Department, was arrested after he was caught stealing from a disabled man who was physically unable to leave his bed. The Trump Administration’s nuclear plan is increasingly public, with its unclassified summary providing confirmation of all the concerns that have already been set out in recent weeks, that the administration intends the development of new, lower-yield nuclear weapons that they believe would be more usable than the current arsenal.

An Oregon jury convicted a previously deported Mexican national of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl. The convicted child-rapist has a history of crimes in the U.S.

The little girl’s mother told law enforcement officials in Clackamas County last year that a man broke into their 9 and 5-year-old daughters’ bedroom. The man came through the window of their apartment at night on February 25 and sexually assaulted their daughter. CAYCE, S.C. (Reuters) – An Amtrak passenger train apparently traveling on the wrong track collided with a parked CSX Corp freight train in South Carolina on Sunday, killing the engineer and conductor and injuring at least 116 in the railroad’s third fatal crash in as many months, authorities said.

I am hereby announcing my candidacy for the office of the President of the United States in the 2020 election. On the campaign trail I’ll be wearing silver armor, riding on a white horse, and I’ll make every promise that you want to hear. I’ll behave in a very presidential manner, try not to grope anyone when cameras are watching, and of course, make the prerequisite trip to Israel.

I promise the invasion will end, the money will flow, and the American worker will make twice the salary in half the hours. The second suspect in the Las Vegas Massacre has been charged.  Douglas Haig said in an interview today he had met with Stephen Paddock three times, but in his first interview he said he had nothing to do with him at all.  He has changed his tune.  Haig is clearly afraid, saying he knew when the Las Vegas police served their warrant they wanted to find some type of link between him and Paddock.

At least 27 girls and women said disgraced USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar sexually assaulted them while he was under FBI investigation for similar behavior, according to a new Saturday report from The New York Times.

Nassar first came under FBI suspicion in July 2015 after the agency received complaints from three top-tier female athletes, including two Olympic gymnasts. The Trump administration’s top public health official bought shares in a tobacco company one month into her leadership of the agency charged with reducing tobacco use — the leading cause of preventable disease and death and an issue she had long championed.

The stock was one of about a dozen new investments that Brenda Fitzgerald, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, made after she took over the agency’s top job, according to documents obtained by POLITICO. An industrial pharmaceutical laboratory has since had its license suspended by the Kenya Accreditation Service as a result of the controversy.

A Colorado physical education teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave after allegedly assaulting a student who refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Karen Smith, the PE teacher at Angevine Middle School in Lafayette, was placed on leave following the alleged incident on Thursday, CBS Local reports.
