NORFOLK – The colors were raised, the watch was set and on Saturday at 11:56 a.m., the fast-attack sub Washington officially became the USS Washington and was commissioned into the U.S. Navy.

Construction on the sub started in Newport News in September 2011.

In March 2015, it was christened the Washington. The “USS” designation may not seem like much to the average civilian, but for Cmdr. Gabriel Cavazos, it’s the culmination of years of construction work and many months of effort from his crew.   Continue reading “USS Washington joins Navy’s submarine fleet in commissioning ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk”

Euclid, OH — Once again, the cops from what is now becoming one of the most infamous departments in the country are in the spotlight. This time, the Euclid police department beat a man so severely that they literally broke his face and he had to be hospitalized. Also, after they arrested him, two officers were caught on the dashcam expressing their disappointment that they didn’t kill him.

Tensions between police and citizens in Euclid, Ohio have come to a head recently after police killed an unarmed 23-year-old man over a marijuana roach and officers were seen on video pulverizing another man over a suspended license, and, as TFTP reported last week, beating the hell out of an innocent man after mistaking his colostomy bag for a weapon.   Continue reading “Cops Brutally Beat Man then Express ‘Regret’ for NOT Killing Him”

The terrorist-linked Muslim Brotherhood (MB), echoing other jihadist groups, has pledged to “shed blood” and “wage war” against the United States after President Donald Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and directed his government to move the American embassy to the city.

In an Arabic-language statement disseminated by the Ikhwanonline.info website, MB declares, “Jerusalem is an Islamic and Arab land, for which we shed blood, freedom, and life, and we wage war against every aggressor and every supporter of aggression.”  Continue reading “Muslim Brotherhood Vows to ‘Wage War’ Against U.S. Due to Trump’s Jerusalem Decision”

Fascinating colorized photographs from the 1800s reveal the lives of soldiers during two of the century’s great wars in the United States and Europe.

One image reveals President Abraham Lincoln meeting with Unionist General George B McClellan after the Battle of Antietam during the American Civil War.

McClellan, known for his cautious military tactics, was relieved of his duties by Lincoln shortly after the battle after allowing General Robert E Lee’s army to retreat into Virginia despite unknowingly having the confederates significantly outnumbered.   Continue reading “Images from conflicts of the 1800s leap to life after being colorized for the first time”

Gun Owners of America – by Erich Pratt

There’s an old adage that says: “When you’ve dug yourself into a hole, stop digging.”

Texas Senator John Cornyn — the second most powerful Senator in Washington — is a traditionally pro-gun friend who made a big mistake by sponsoring a bad gun control bill.

But, rather than admitting that he made a mistake, he is digging in — and, in the process, becoming a vocal advocate for gun control.     Continue reading ““Fix NICS” Bill Would Take Away Your Guns as a Result of Unpaid Traffic Tickets”

On December 7, the Palestinian al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades fired several rockets at the Israeli settlements of Hof Ashkelon and Sha’ar HaNegev north of the Gaza Strip. The group said in a statement that this was only the first response to the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and said that more actions will follow. The Israeli Defense Forces said that a battle tank and a warplane had targeted two posts in Gaza in response to the shelling.

According to local sources, Israeli warplanes are highly active over Gaza as the situation escalates.   Continue reading “Palestine-Syria War Report – December 8, 2017: Jerusalem Standoff”

Republican neocons long yearned to end progressive New Deal and Great Society programs, especially Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security by privatizing them, handing them to Wall Street as lucrative investment opportunities, harming beneficiaries in the process.

The tax cut heist they hope to present to Trump for a signing ceremony before Christmas is much more than transferring more wealth from ordinary Americans to corporate predators and super-rich ones.

A complementary goal is eroding social justice more than already, ultimately wanting it eliminated altogether, returning America to 19th century harshness – class warfare worse than now.

When Congress authorized Robert Mueller and his team of lawyers to investigate “links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump,” opponents of the president sensed that sooner or later, hard evidence of Trump’s collusion with the Russian government would emerge.

Seven months later, after three indictments that did little, if anything, to confirm the grand collusion narrative, Mueller had former National Security Council advisor Michael Flynn dragged before a federal court for lying to the FBI. The Russia probe had finally netted a big fish.   Continue reading “Michael Flynn’s Indictment Exposes Trump Team’s Collusion With Israel, Not Russia”

Are you doing senior citizens more harm than good by offering them your seat on the bus? According to one Oxford professor, you most definitely are. Instead of giving a seat to the elderly, you should be encouraging them to stand up and become more physically active, claimed Sir Muir Gray, clinical adviser to Public Health England.

“We need to be encouraging activity as we age — not telling people to put their feet up,” said Gray. He further stated that senior citizens need to “play their part” and “understand their role” in remaining healthy and physically fit.   Continue reading “Being polite to the elderly is bad for their health; they need to stand up, walk further, carry their own packages, expert claims”

The Israel Air Force (IAF) has become the second air force in the world to declare the F-35 stealth fighter jet an operational aircraft – which IAF leaders claim has given Israel air superiority in the Middle East for the next 40 years.

Global warming has not accelerated temperature rise in the bulk atmosphere in more than two decades, according to a new study funded by the Department of Energy.
