NEW YORK (AP) — A special New York Police Department unit that sparked controversy by tracking the daily lives of Muslims in an effort to detect terror threats has been disbanded, police officials said Tuesday.

NYPD spokesman Stephen Davis confirmed that detectives assigned to the unit had been transferred to other duties within the department’s Intelligence Division. An ongoing review of the division by new Police Commissioner William Bratton found that the same information collected by the unit could be better collected through direct contact with community groups, officials said.   Continue reading “New York police disband unit that spied on Muslims”

BOSTON — A man taken into custody near the Boston Marathon finish line late Tuesday, the anniversary of the deadly pressure cooker bombings, had a rice cooker in his backpack and was being charged with possession of a hoax device, police said.

The man was stopped by an officer who saw him acting suspiciously, including walking down the middle of a street barefoot in pouring rain, Police Superintendent Randall Halstead said. The man dropped the backpack and told the officer it contained a rice cooker, he said.   Continue reading “Man charged with hoax near marathon finish line”

The federal government is now petitioning to have these signs removed, or Washington state will be denied additional monies for interstate highways.

The insanity of the world and the orwellian masses acceptance of what is “normal” reminds me of an Aldous Huxley observation:

“The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. “Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does.” Continue reading “Being well-adjusted in an insane world, means you are not normal”

In keeping with the tradition of the FBI’s position on gun rights, it appears the Bureau is working overdrive to monitor and harass gun owners and the gun shops that sell to them.

While government surveillance of gun purchases and gun owners is nothing new, a recent visit by an FBI Counterterrorism agent to a Columbia, South Carolina gun shop has only reinforced the knowledge that the U.S. government is growing more and more concerned by the prospect of a well-armed populace – particularly one that prefers to live without constant government interference in their personal lives.   Continue reading “FBI Visiting Gun Shops to Investigate “People talking about Big Government””

Add the U.S. Postal Service to the list of federal agencies seeking to purchase what some Second Amendment activists say are alarmingly large quantities of ammunition.

Earlier this year, the USPS posted a notice on its website, under the heading “Assorted Small Arms Ammunition,” that says: “The United States Postal Service intends to solicit proposals for assorted small arms ammunition. If your organization wishes to participate, you must pre-register. This message is only a notification of our intent to solicit proposals.”   Continue reading “US Postal Service Joins in Federal Ammo Purchases”

America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.

I had a very memorable and thought-provoking passenger a while back that I never wrote about because while I found him fascinating, he seemed a little too political for what was always intended to be a fun blog to read and some cheap therapy for your humble driver and writer. But in light of all the scandals that have erupted lately and the EpicClusterSharknadoF#@k that is ObamaCare, I have been thinking about a few things he said to me, so I’m going to commit them to paper (or pixels), if only for my own reading. So if you just want to read about moron drunks and belligerent whores, skip this post…     Continue reading “The Pig Trap”

Just ran across a very interesting video from perrrfection and until I followed her steps I thought she might be seeing something that is not there, but the evidence is undeniable that she is right, something VERY strange is going on at YouTube and her conclusion that it is happening by governement aka Fed trolls, is more than just likely because anyone that can upload 600-700 videos in one day, sometimes dozens of longer videos in the same hour, is using servers far more powerful than ordinary folks sitting at a store bought computer using cable, DSL or satellite.   Continue reading “Something Very Strange Is Going On”

The April 15 deadline to register firearms deemed “assault weapons” under Governor Cuomo’s NY SAFE Act has been met by hordes of New York Gun owners not rushing to register firearms, and the ceremonial burning of registration forms.

Unofficial estimates suggest that as few as 3,000-5,000 of the estimated 1-2 million firearms that have been redefined as “assault weapons” under New York’s utterly arbitrary and blatantly unconstitutional law have been registered. Literally dozens of gun owners in the state of 19.57 million (2012) residents will take the opportunity to register today.   Continue reading “Up To One Million New Yorkers Seize Opportunity To Not Register Their Firearms Ahead of NY SAFE ACT Deadline”

A plane passed  through a severe storm. The turbulence was awful, and things went from bad to  worse when one wing was struck by lightning.

One woman lost it  completely.

She stood up in the front of the plane and screamed,  ‘I’m too young to die,’ she cried. Then she yelled, ‘If I’m going to die, I  want my last minutes on earth to be memorable! Is there anyone on this  plane who can make me feel like a WOMAN?’   Continue reading “Only A Texan Can Make You Feel Like A Woman”

he Bundy Ranch standoff is the true story of American history that the mainstream media doesn’t want you to see. If such an event had happened in Ukraine, or Russia, or China, it would have received front-page coverage across the entire U.S. press. But because it took place within U.S. borders, there was a nationwide media blackout on the story, complete with orders that news outlets broadcast no pictures, no videos and no live reports from the scene.

Ever wonder what’s so important about Bundy Ranch that the institutions of media and government have gone to extraordinary lengths to censor, including declaring a “no fly zone” over the airspace?   Continue reading “Bundy Ranch standoff pictures the mainstream media doesn’t ever want you to see”
