Russia’s foreign ministry has threatened to impede the operations of American diplomatic missions in the country, after U.S. bank JPMorgan Chase on Tuesday blocked a remittance from the Russian embassy in Kazakhstan to an insurance agency.

The Russian embassy had been due to transfer less than $5,000 to the Sogaz Insurance Group for regular services rendered, according to the Financial Times, but JPMorgan halted the transaction as Sogaz was part-owned by Bank Rossiya, one of the targets of US sanctions announced on March 20.   Continue reading “Russia Threatens Retaliation After JPMorgan Blocks Embassy Money Transfer”

LEAWOOD, KS — An innocent family was terrorized by a paramilitary SWAT raid on their home that lasted 2.5 hours; yielding nothing.  It took the family 2 years and $25,000 to discover the real reason their house was targeted: discarded tea leaves in their garbage and the purchase of indoor gardening equipment.

‘You’re in the wrong house!’

Robert and Adlynn Harte discovered how easily an innocent family can become the targets of state-sanctioned violence when a SWAT team showed up at their home looking for contraband.  The terrifying experience took place at 7:30 a.m. on April 20, 2012.   Continue reading “Family raided by SWAT because cops found discarded tea leaves in trash”

This map from the U.S. Geological Service shows the range of the volcanic ash that was deposited after the biggest of the Yellowstone National Park eruptions around 2.1 million years ago. "These eruptions left behind huge volcanic depressions called “calderas” and spread volcanic ash over large parts of North America," it said. "If another large caldera-forming eruption were to occur at Yellowstone, its effects would be worldwide. Thick ash deposits would bury vast areas of the United States, and injection of huge volumes of volcanic gases into the atmosphere could drastically affect global climate. Fortunately, the Yellowstone volcanic system shows no signs that it is headed toward such an eruption in the near future. In fact, the probability of any such event occurring at Yellowstone within the next few thousand years is exceedingly low."Epoch Times – by Zachary Stieber

A number of bloggers are posting videos that show bison and other animals allegedly leaving Yellowstone National Park, prompting theories that as earthquakes ramp up the seismic activity will set off the Yellowstone supervolcano.

Two of the main bloggers behind the discussion stress that there’s no way to know when the supervolcano will go off but note that the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that hit on March 30 seemed to set off a reaction from the animals, who are moving for a reason.   Continue reading “Yellowstone Volcano Eruption in 2014? As the facts about MH370 slowly emerge, it is increasingly apparent that the Malaysian government has been — and continues to be — involved in an elaborate cover-up that falsified and hid evidence the public deserves to know about the fate of Flight 370 passengers.

The government openly admitted this, in fact. “A Malaysian team have told relatives of Chinese passengers on board the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 that there was sealed evidence that cannot be made public, as they came under fire from the angry relatives at a briefing on Wednesday,” reported the Straights Times.(1)   Continue reading “Malaysian government admits altering MH370 pilot transcript, hiding evidence and misleading the public in massive cover-up”

Some people wonder why others choose to arm themselves in defense of self, home, and family.

It’s a reasonable question, and our (we hope, reasonable) answer is that the roots of self-defense are in personal agency and responsibility. And recent revelations about the way fugitives are pursued, or more honestly, often not pursued, indicate that there’s an epidemic of not arresting violent felons going on.   Continue reading “Conwalking: the Other Gun Crime Scandal”

A Saudi Arabian man injured by one of the two bombs that detonated at last year’s Boston Marathon is suing conservative commentator Glenn Beck in federal court for defamation.

Abdulrahman Alharbi, then 20, was among the hundreds hurt during last April’s footrace in the metropolitan Massachusetts city after a pair of homemade pressure cooker bombs exploded near the finish line, killing three. Now nearly a year later, attorneys for the man have filed suit against Beck in response to erroneous on-air remarks he made repeatedly about their client in the aftermath.   Continue reading “Boston Marathon bombing victim sues Glenn Beck”

Four more workers have now tested positive for radiation after being exposed to a February leak from an underground nuclear waste dump near Carlsbad, New Mexico, the U.S. Department of Energy announced Monday, bringing the total number of contaminated workers to 21.

The announcement came a day ahead of a DOE plan to send a team of experts into the half-mile deep Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) to set up bases from which they can begin to investigate the cause of the leak. First detected Valentine’s Day weekend, officials later announced that the facility’s leak was believed to be releasing radiation into the air.   Continue reading “Contamination Even More Widespread After Nuclear Dump Site Leak”
