According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), one million Afghan children are now at risk of acute malnutrition leading to death if there is no immediate action to secure humanitarian relief. The urgency of the matter proving the lethal nature of US sanctions.

As of early this January, the UN estimates that 9 million Afghans are currently at risk of facing a famine, with almost the entire country considered to be undernourished. On the 23rd of January, Pravaran Mahat, a specialist at UNICEF’s South Asia regional office, stated on a visit to Kabul’s Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital that “UNICEF estimates that without urgent action, more than one million children [in Afghanistan] can suffer from severe acute malnutrition this year,” adding that hospital workers are overburdened. As many cities across the state return to mandatory masking and impose vaccine requirements on their residents, the city of Lexington, Minnesota, has unanimously declared itself a “Health Freedom Sanctuary City.”

“The Lexington City Council opposes any government mandated requirements or restrictions on citizens to show proof of vaccination status in order to access local businesses, houses of worship, or cultural events,” states a resolution passed by the Lexington City Council last week. “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actress Cheryl Hines has condemned her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s comments about Anne Frank, who was murdered by Nazis as a teenager, which he made during a rally against vaccine mandates.

Kennedy, a longtime opponent of vaccines, invoked Nazi Germany in his screed against vaccine mandates on Sunday, at the Lincoln Memorial, and suggested that Frank was better off than Americans whose jobs require them to get vaccinated.
