Suppose a reporter interviewed players behind the scenes re the question: who really runs the US government? Who really sets national policy?

A legit interview. Actual people. Actual quotes. Not just a circumstantial case.

And suppose these players answered the big questions directly and unmistakably?   Continue reading “Media: the most shocking interview that “never happened””

On 15 January, Police Chief Louis Ross was loaned a bullet resistant vest before he and other officers broke into a home in Sentinel, Oklahoma.  Ross was shot three times in the chest, and once in the arm.  Three of the bullets were stopped by the vest.  The police had no warrant for the raid.  The homeowner, Dallas Horton, was not hurt and has not been charged, and it seems unlikely that he will be.   He and his wife Esther Marie, were both interviewed.

There are many things about this case that have not been widely reported.   Continue reading “OK: Man Shoots Police Chief; No Charges”

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Florida (AP) — Two teenage sweethearts suspected in a crime spree of stolen vehicles and pilfered checks across the U.S. South have been taken into custody in Florida, Kentucky authorities said Sunday.

Grayson County Sheriff officials said in a statement that 18-year-old Dalton Hayes and his 13-year-old girlfriend, Cheyenne Phillips, were arrested without incident about 12:10 a.m. Sunday in Panama City Beach. The two had eluded police in multiple states while raising concern about their increasingly bold behavior.   Continue reading “US teens on alleged crime spree captured in Florida”

A shooting Saturday morning at a mall in central Florida left two people dead and one other injured, police said.

After responding to reports around 9:30 a.m. of multiple shots fired inside the Melbourne Square Mall, police tweeted that the “shooter is contained” and that officers were clearing the mall store by store.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the suspect was dead or injured, Cmdr. Vince Pryce said.   Continue reading “Florida police say 2 dead, 1 injured in mall shooting”

It sure is a great thing that we are so blessed to live in a “republic” with a Supreme Court that has a 5-4 “conservative majority.” Striking down this “gay marriage” nonsense ought to be a snap, right?

“The swing vote remains Kennedy, who has authored the last three major rulings advancing the cause of gay rights. On one hand, he has defended voter-approved constitutional amendments, most recently in a Michigan case last year that upheld the state’s ban against racial preferences in university admissions. But he struck down the federal same-sex marriage ban as an affront to the constitutional rights of gays and lesbians.”

Federal bureaucrats are pressuring banks and credit unions to close accounts for gun shops and other law-abiding businesses in an attempt to shut down those enterprises. That is the charge a US Congressman and others are making about a US Department of Justice effort called Operation Choke Point.

“They figured that if they could cut off legal businesses’ ability to bank they could put those businesses that they don’t like out of business,” US Representative Sean Duffy (R-Wisconsin) said of Choke Point.   Continue reading “The Underhanded Way Feds Are Closing Hundreds Of Gun Shops”

While most Americans discount the possibility of a major conflict with Russia, Europeans who have seen two great wars in the last century know better.

The country of Lithuania, much like its neighbors, is preparing for a full-out invasion by Russian forces and their government is issuing a survival manual to its citizens. Though the complete details have yet to be released, the manual, among other things, advises citizens to “keep a sound mind, don’t panic and don’t lose clear thinking.”   Continue reading “Report: “Russian Invasion Survival Manual” To Be Issued To Citizens In European Union”

PARIS (AP) — City officials in Reims say one of the terrorists responsible for attacks last week that killed 17 people was buried in the eastern French city over their objections and despite concerns that the grave could become a shrine for extremists.

Said Kouachi, the elder of the two brothers who together gunned down 12 people Jan. 7 in their attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, was buried at the demand of the French government, officials in Reims said in a statement Saturday.   Continue reading “Anonymous burial for 1 of 3 terrorists behind France attacks”

MSNBC host and civil rights activist Al Sharpton is calling for an emergency meeting of his eight-member diversity task force to discuss action against the Academy Awards after the movie “Selma” received only one Oscars nomination.

LANSING, MI — Gov. Rick Snyder on Thursday vetoed legislation that would have overhauled the concealed pistol permit application process in Michigan, citing a provision he said could jeopardize existing protections for domestic abuse victims.

Senate Bill 789 and 790, backed by the National Rifle Association but opposed by prominent gun control groups, would have lifted a blanket restriction preventing the subject of any personal protection order from obtaining a CPL.   Continue reading “Michigan Gov. The irony is almost worse than 9/11.

Then, President Bush responded by stating, with bravado, that they attacked us because they hate our freedoms.

This time, the attack against the publication of satirical Mohammed cartoon, was not only an act of terrorism, but an attack on the spirit of free speech.

And the government response this time? After staging a photo op of world leaders, various heads of state have proposed new waves of surveillance and repressive attempts to ban encryption and violate the freedom of speech in communication devices through new spy policies and laws.   Continue reading “Now We Know The Plan: More Surveillance and a Patriot Act For Europe”

Last week 17 people were killed by terrorists in France. The events were shocking and quite rightly the murders were subject to unequivocal condemnation. At the same time, considerably more people were reported to have been killed by gunmen in Baga, Nigeria, with figures ranging from 150 to over 2,000.

But it’s the French victims who we focus on, showing our solidarity with them by declaring ‘Je suis Charlie’, and holding vigils in Trafalgar Square and elsewhere- while the African victims of violence have – certainly until the last day or so – been ignored.   Continue reading “Terrorism in Africa: A bigger threat than in Europe, but much less coverage”
